Strongly disagree with this. I've knighted for Lee since last season when Jefferson's play was so frustrating. It is PAINFULLY obvious that getting Crowton out and Krags/Stud taking control has been the key to QB play this season.

Lee had said all the right things since he was benched in favor of JJ years ago. Coming off the bench suited him last season, and the team was successful (people forget we won 11 games)

JJ looks like a stud in his play this season, and I've turned the corner and I'll say that he deserves credit for what he's done. Again, Stud/Krags >>> Crowton. Both quarterbacks are better because of that change this season.

I think it's great that Lee got props for his play this season. I'm not going to criticize or try to decide who should start against Arky/UGA/Bama. I will say that JJ is a stud right now, and he is playing at such a high level that people have to be either related to Lee or too prideful to see that it's okay for him to start.

I want us to win. JJ hasn't done anything this season that makes me think he isn't a new quarterback. We will go 14-0, both will get rings, and this pointless discussion amongst rantards about which QB really was better in 2011 will go on for decades.

But hey, we'll be getting our 3rd BCS championship in 9 seasons, which is pretty fricking awesome.

JJ deserves a from all of his detractors, just as Lee deserves one from those who shut the book on him in 2008.
Agreed.

Good post. But as I said it is rare that JL supporters will acknowledge JJ when he plays well.

So do I and I hope he realizes ALL tiger fans appreciate how he came in and stepped up.

You are probably right.

Yep I never thought after the Hallman years that this would be possible.

The one thing you rarely if ever will see on this board is a JL supporter EVER give JJ credit. However JJ supporters give JL credit all the time.

As far as I'm concerned, 2008-2010 can be thrown out of the window at this point.

You don't have 100% completions and win by 49 in an SEC road game, I don't care if the ball is only thrown 8 times.

JJ and Lee with this offense are both top 5 SEC QBs. It's so obvious that Crowton wasn't getting the job done.

From the Moo St. game to the Bama game, no one was criticizing Lee (rightfully so)

It's a credit to both quarterbacks and the coaching staff that we have two very capable guys taking snaps

Do you like Miles?

yes, but as a fan, I as every other LSU fan can question things.

My point is either you support him or not. I was anti miles until last year and then decided why am I hating on this guy when all he does is win. Sure he is goofy and has had some clock management issues but he wins. If he started TBob at QB I wouldn't be happy but if we win who cares. Every year there will be a player who the fans feel was slighted....when you have great talent it is going to happen.

Did you read the post?

Is the post inaccurate in some particular way?

Let me quote it for you again:
quote:

Jefferson's Passing Efficiency has been hugely impressive starting with the Alabama game in 2010
Is Lee the same QB he was in 2008 and 2009?

Has Lee not gotten better?

Has Jefferson not turned a corner? Has Jefferson not been hugely impressive since the Alabama game in 2010?

He threw for less than 100 yards and was 8-21 right?

If someone gave you those stats you and many others on here would have said JJ sucks b/c those would have had to be his numbers. But JL does it and all of a sudden he is the man

both of those replies were to my post.... i didnt even bother to respond.
Didnt deserve one.

If the exact same words were to have come out of my mouth had JJ started and played same as JL did vs those teams,,, some of these dudes would have tried to have me banned.

thats some funny shite right there...

This is the biggest differnce or the "divide" we have. If its not broke (whcih is wasnt) whats the purpose of changing? One answer.. LM. He prefers JJ over JL. We pretty much all agree neither are great.. so that's where all this division comes from. We were all content... things were going well, now we are changing. I jsut hope things offensivley continue to go well the remainder of the year... LM is going to take a ton of heat if they dont. As he should.

cant argue that...

JL was 3-7 for 27 yds, 2 ints and 2 other absolutely horrible passes.

Are you seriously going to contend JJ didn't have better numbers and help the team win?
