And their defense stuffed georgia and bullied them all game. Read that again. Nd bullied georgia

We must've not watched the same game, Georgia averaged like 5 yards per play.
UGA was 2-12 on 3rd down and 0-3 on 4th down. They had 62 yards rushing.
ND physically controlled that game.

Lost to Marshall already and then Northern Illinois again this year - at home
Beat a redshirt freshman backup QB making his first start the other night.
I see little Jordan Clark running around in their secondary along with plenty of white boys. They have a small LaCrosse player as their best WR along with a Clemson reject. Threw for 90 yards against UGA
I do not see any difference in this ND team and what they typically have. They produce pros at OL, TE (two positions Catholics kids have been good at) and a few occasionally on defense and maybe RB. Nothing special.

Their offense wasn't effective but they weren't really "bullied."
Being "bullied" is what happened to LSU vs Bama in the 2011 natty.
Neither Notre Dame nor Georgia were very good offensively in that game.

He may be. He may not be. I think we need to wait to see if 2024 is the beginning of a trend , or is just an anomaly.
Two things I know for sure: Notre Dame would not be 13-1 if they were in the SEC (or even the Big 10); secondly, LSU is light years better with Kelly as a coach compared to where we were, and I’m pretty happy with that.

The one area in which Freeman is a much better head coach than Kelly is his commitment to special teams. His first year there, they set an NCAA record for punt blocks and they make that unit a point of emphasis and it shows.
Even in the UGA game, in which they committed two consecutive running into the kicker penalties, they saw a weakness in protection and tried to exploit it. The player was in position to make a huge block and just didnt execute. I would love for us to be at least that aggressive in our approach to special teams instead of it being a negative.
Yes, we had two KO returns this year and that is certainly an improvement, but we consistently lose field position in the punt game and we have shite protection on just about all kick attempts, and our kick coverage is horrible.

ATM, AL and FL beat BK down hard. He lost to a mediocre USC. The guy is an above average as an SEC coach. So far, nothing special worth $100 million

"Above average" is what his salary gets you these days.
It isn't 2005 anymore.

Kelly made it to a national championship game and 2 four team playoffs with ND... let's pump the brakes
He was a mediocre defense away from being there last year.

I'm not even saying that Freeman is some great head coach.
The MF'er has put together a great Staff and tries to stay out of the way on the sidelines.

That's right. Maybe we could get BK to try that. Seems to work out well for Ed O and MF.

10, 10 and 9 wins is still really successful.
Just cannot seem to get over the hump due to an inability to prepare the team to start the season and really bad special teams and defenses.
