We get to wear white for any away game as it's an NCAA rule to wear dark jerseys at home unless the visitor allows you to wear white. The few times teams didn't let us wear white at home they payed for it.

That permission rule has been gone for a while. It's soley up to the discretion of the home team. And you can even both wear colors now if they contrast.

In my slighly biased opinion, the purple jerseys are the best in all of college football.

If I remember correctly, this has been the rule since DiNardo petitioned the NCAA to 1995.
ETA: And I don't remember correctly, but it doesn't matter what color LSU wear against moo st. LSU wins either way.
