Is LSU WRU?

The state of Louisiana has always churned out great WRs and LSU has lately been putting a number of great WRs into the pro ranks. We will likely see two more LSU wideouts (Chase and Marshall) become top-3 round draft picks (and maybe 3 if Racey McMath has a standout season) in the 2021 Draft. Jets will likely be a 1st round pick this year. And guys like Odell, Jarvis, and DJ Chark are holding it down in the NFL right now. What other schools would have a claim to this title?

Alabama, Clemson have a claim

Hate to say that Alabama might claim that one.

Agreed that it is likely Alabama at this point.
However, if we continue to crank them out, we can certainly match or overtake them.

Bama can claim it but the sheer number of NFL ready WR's from Clemson that have actually performed at the next level is impressive. Ohio St could probably make a claim as well.

Sports Illustrated is currently doing a Position U series and LSU came in second in WRU. Clemson was number 1.

Who else is making noise in the NFL from Bama besides Julio & Cooper?

You may want to say Louisiana is WRU.
Those you mentioned are all from Louisiana throw in CC lamb (OU) from Louisiana will be first rounder this year. Next year throw in Chase,Marshall, and Devonte Smith from Louisiana all first rounders next year.

I think we produce the highest quality receivers. OBJ, Jarvis Landry all had 1000 yard years. Sammy Watkins And Mike Williams disappointed. Amari Cooper has been inconsistent. Calvin Ridley has been Ok.

few other schools came close, but Ohio State has dominated wide receiver production since 2000. Joey Galloway, Santonio Holmes, Ted Ginn, Terry Glenn, Michael Jenkins, Brian Hartline, David Boston, and Michael Thomas. And Michael Thomas is far from done.
Cris Carter was still finishing up his Hall of Fame career in the early 2000s. Terrelle Pryor splashed at quarterback and converted to wide receiver. And even Curtis Samuel looks promising now for the Panthers.

Yes, indeed, LSU and Clemson have absolutely dominated wide receiver production since 2014.
The legendary 2014 receiver class definitely helped LSU quite a bit. Both Beckham and Landry have logged over 1,100 PPR in their still young careers.
DeAndre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, Adam Humphries, and Martavis Bryant have all produced at times, representing Clemson. It’s still crazy that all four were on the same 2012 Clemson roster.

California still has DeSean Jackson, Keenan Allen, and Marvin Jones racking up points for them.
Alabama was a virtual zero at the wide receiver position until Julio Jones came along. But now with Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, and even Robert Foster producing, Alabama could continue rising.
Alabama is certainly making a strong case to become the next generation’s WR U. According to the latest Rotoviz Devy Rankings, Alabama currently has three of the top 13 future NFL wide receivers on their team.
