what is your favorite team?

This team is my favorite. They always fought hard, had exciting comebacks and had fun.

The reason they are my favorite is because they are a bunch of really good kids. Not one kid on this team is unlikable. I can't think of another sports team at LSU that every kid came across as great as these kids do.

This is not close to the most talented sports team at LSU, but they were a joy to watch all year

Both of the finals games were really well played
Game 1 vs Florida 2 years ago was an awesome game, very tense
Game 3 vs Florida 2 years ago was a party

Best one I've ever seen. Not seen em all, but it's #1 for me.

Granted I haven't been a college baseball fan as long as a lot of others on here, I have 3 that I consider "best" in their own right.

2023 - LSU/Wake. Incredibly "clean" high level baseball at all positions. Smallest margin of error for either team made it incredibly exciting.

2023 - LSU/Florida, CWS Finals Game 3. Never gets old beating the ever loving stuff outta UF. Every player that night had a hit, run, and RBI. Just glorious.

2025 - LSU/Arkansas CWS 2nd meeting. Most incredible, improbable, unbelievable, astounding end of a game I've ever seen. Period.

The Athletic had a panel discussion before this years CWS where 4 or 5 writers rank the best of all time and every single one of them said that was the best game ever for college baseball.
Skenes swept best pitcher ever as well.

Damn good game, but Game 1 in 2009 again Texas may have been better. Mattock and D.J Lemahieu were so damn clutch in that game.

But that Wake game...damn. It's tough. We've been blessed to see a lot of great games over the years. 1996 walk off has to be up there, too.

Really hard to beat that Wake Forest game IMO. The buildup alone could have crushed one or both teams mentally. 2 bona fide mlb ready pitchers with excellent defensive heroics by both teams. Mentally tough future big leaguers and great college players all over the field that day. All the way up to the finish it didn't look like either team would flinch.

Lost in the dramatic ending of the ‘96 championship game is that leading right up to Morris’ swing into destiny was 8 and 5/6 innings of really, really great back and forth baseball.

‘96 championship game all the way.

This debate in anything related to sports is so dumb.

The game is so recent. It’s way too soon to declare this.
