Tulane has been to omaha twice and won one game there. They think their coach is god and their baseball program is second to none.
Forget Bertman for a moment.smoke took us to omaha twice and lost his job. It's all perspective.Still forgetting Bertman throw in a nother trip to omaha and one win and we have bested what Jones has done in all his years. Not winning it all since 2000 is not acceptable to us.Just going twice is enough for tulane fans.

Tulanes win to keep us from going to Omaha has got to be their high water mark. How many regionals have we been in together and e advanced over them?

ULaLa has won more games at the CWS than Tulane, if Tulane has the one win.
No way a program w/ 1 CWS win is in the same ballpark as a 5 time winner- I have no idea how many individual games LSU has won at the CWS. That does not define our team. For USL and Tulane, that is a different story.

Well, we haven't won it all since 2000. What do you mean?

Fine. Show me a series played each year with two teams with more accomplishments. Texas-Rice,yes. Miami has a bunch of titles and but Florida State has as many NC's as Tulane does. Neither Clemson nor South Carolina have won one.

Nope, LSU-Tulane baseball may be a Top 10 rivalry but it would be in the bottom half. LSU really has no true "mutual" rival with anyone.

What's so funny about that? Can you come up with a bigger SEC rival?

I'm all ears, smart guy.

Ole Miss is a bigger rival. Without question right now.

If you want to go over the last 20 years, it's Miss St. head and shoulders above everyone else.

That's your opinion. What has Ole Miss accomplished that Bama hasn't?

I could actually make the case that Georgia is a bigger rival right now than Ole Miss.

I'll concede that one.

Define "consistent success".

How many trips to Omaha for Ole Miss vs. Bama in the last, oh, 15 years or so?

Rivalries are not overnight things.

Consistent success doesn't have to equal trips to the CWS, but how many Super Regionals have Ole Miss made compared to Bama? How many losing seasons in the SEC has Ole Miss had since Bianco got there?

LSU-Tulane isn't even as good a rivalry as Coastal Carolina-College of Charleston.

a lot of the others that are better have already been mentioned like South Carolina/Clemson and Texas/Rice.

no because tulane has never won a national title in baseball..

or any other men's sport for that matter...

nor do they have an alum that is a medal of honor recipient.
