Not scoring guys from second with no outs, not scoring guys from third with one out. I can't remember the last time someone other than Deichmann had a sac fly.

our situational hitting has been atrocious. it's so bad that, for once, i'd love to see PM call a suicide bunt. of course, the batter would probably miss and the runner would be out by a mile

Then why did you remove the top 4 scoring games? You obviously thought that stat was important until I said it was better than most teams in the SEC.

You are just cherry picking stats to fit your narrative. I'm not trying to pick a fight, I just think spinning stats like you have is contributing to the negative attitude on this board.

How about this stat.. 40% of our SEC games have been against the top 2 pitching staffs in the conference
I didn't, you moron.

Possible, id guess alot of those situations are watson, smith, and slaughter coming up. Hopefully the order now has fixed that problem somewhat

Comparing last year v SEC we are down in a lot of the different categories.

2016 batting average 305 (lead league)
2017 (so far) 267

Homers 2016 21
Doubles 2016 48
Triples 8
Runs 2016 185 (1 behind league leader)
RBIs 2016 164 (2nd in lesgue)
Steals 2016 40(league leader)
Walks 111
HBP 40 (league leader)
OB% 390 (league leader)
Slg% 426
Ks 145 (league leader)

At halfway point 2017 season
Homers 11 slightly ahead of 2016
Doubles 26 slightly ahead
Triples 0 way behind
Runs 89 behind
RBIs 81 slightly behind
Steals 13 way behind
Walks 54 slightly behind
HBP 28 way ahead of pace
OB% 368 way behind
Slg% 386 way behind
Ks 97 way ahead

In SEC play we are behind where we were last year in many areas.

We just proved that wrong.
Nonsense. If you take out all LF's runs over 50 yds, he's not so impressive.

Also, let's not forget the time UCLA won it all with a horrific Team BA. Their pitching was better than ours is though.

but we seem to not be that good at hitting with 0 outs.

I'm not that much of a baseball guy, but it seems like this isn't anything new.
