He was well on his way to the Heisman in 2015 until the Bama game. LSU's O-Line got absolutely manhandled, we lost in embarrassing fashion, and the rest of the regular season was a disaster. It's crazy that Les was allowed to return in 2016. He was recruiting skill position players only by that time.

Hate to say this, but as much as Henry carried the ball at Tennessee, in 20 years, his physical health will be like Earl Cambell. Hope I'm wrong.

I’ll never forget the 2015 Auburn game. Never have I seen a defense so afraid of a single player in my life

They wanted nothing to do with trying to tackle him

He would have a heisman if not for the Bama games.

No he wouldn’t.

2014 split carries
2015 it didn’t matter what he did vs Bama he wasn’t winning it over Derek Henry.
2016 he didn’t finish the year, he was hurt.

2015 auburn was a good game but 2015 at Syracuse was even better.

I think ultimately he did not live up to the hype. Not all his fault, he was in some bad situations.

Watching him at St Aug, I thought he would be the best player in college and an nfl all pro.

I consider LF7 to be better than Gurley, Bijan Robinson, Zeke, Chubb, Travis Ettiene, and Derrick Henry.
Ain't no way he's better than Zeke. Zeke now sure.

But Zeke in his prime. You're outta your mind.

I guess it's a matter of opinion, and I'm biased as an LSU fan, but I don't think I've ever seen a better college RB (started watching in 2011).

Bruh, go watch Kevin Faulk highlights. Dude had it all.
Fournette was a different back, and so much fun to watch. Pure power with speed, an absolute freak. It’s a shame we didn’t have three full seasons of him.

Like someone else said go watch Reggie. His USC days he was a human highlight reel. Like nothing anyone saw before.

I’m about to go get lost on YouTube now

Darren McFadden and Ron Dayne maybe. Ricky Williams possibly as well.

This would make for an interesting topic, but the answers would vary depending on the age of the poster.

Agree. In college, he was excellent for the most part. NFL looked promising to start then he kind of leveled off.
He did have some tough situations but that wasn't his real problem. His problem was always his lack of real running back skill. When faced with equal talent that he couldn't just physically dominate, he struggled and his warts stood out. No vision or creativity at all as a runner. Just bowl over or run past. That's it. He's an ideal example of why teams have devalued RBs.

He absolutely would have won it over Henry if he didn’t get shut down.

87 yard TD called back because of questionable illegal formation call. Would’ve brought him to 331 on the ground.

Never forget.

You don’t think going off on Bama in 2015 and helping LSU beat them and knock them out of the College Football Playoff would have won the Heisman for Fournette?

I think it would have.

You continue to surpass your previous level of stupidity every time you post. He injured his ankle in pre-season camp his junior year because the idiot Les Miles held multiple scrimmages with tackling. He re-injured it multiple times that year and was never healthy.
