That's a losers theory.

He is about a “B” rated SEC QB. I’ll take that.

I disagree. I think Burrow can be an A QB. I’d say he was a B- last year. That was coming in two months before the season with new team, coaches, playbook etc. freshman and inexperienced receivers, suspect o line, lack of talent at RB. With the experience he and other talent on this roster gained last year, along with adding even more talent, he can and should be an A QB this year. He is expected to better that above average this year, and I’m confident he will exceed that.

The entire team will go as far as the o-line takes them. They have the ability to make Burrow look like Heisman candidate or a bum.

I believe Brady solves a lot of this problem. He immediately stated LSU needs to get rid of the ball in 2.5 seconds. Most anyone can pass block for that long and avoid sacks. Play calling is key here. Last year Sullivan's plays took way too long to develop and hence put the inexperienced OL in a bind constantly.

No question faster route combos will help but it’s still like putting lipstick on a pig if it’s not actually improved. Below the makeup and lipstick it’s still an ugly pig that will eventually get exposed. What happens when the defense accounts for the quick passes and full presses each receiver at the line or drops into short zone coverage? There will come a time when the short game isn’t working and the line will have to block long enough against elite teams to throw the ball deep. Getting Ed Ingram back will go a long way to solving the issue.

There's so many similarities to Mett. All new WRs to work with first year. Slow start with a few highlights. Down the stretch they start to light it up. Next season got everyone back and lit that season up.

The only main difference is no mainstay at RB like we had with Hill then. But there's alot of talent there.

I think Curry has a lot of promise. He runs hard like Guice. But I think the wild card is going to be John Emery. I'm really excited about this kid. He's going to be a stud.

Exactly. Look at the last three QBs to win NC. Lawrence, Tua, and Watson. All elite.

Also had elite overall roster talent to support them

You can win a national title with an above average QB but the rest of your talent has to be superior or you have to have a scheme that makes him look a lot better than he is.

That is relative my friend. Average to the country would make him the Lee Majors of LSU QB's and we have no idea how high we can climb with that kind of play. We do know its better than we have seen in too many years.

Down the stretch he was as good as any qb in football. I think he’s gonna be a top 4-5 n Sec. plenty to be excited for this season

Average QB play can work if you are a team with the talent level of Bama. Not going to work at LSU if we are hoping to topple them

no doubt he will be top 4-5 in the SEC. He was last season. The question is will he be top 4-5 in the country this coming season. He has a good shot at it IMO. 2020 NFL draft will tell the tale. He checks all the boxes of an NFL QB. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him as one of the top 4-5 QB's taken in the next NFL draft.

We'll see for Joseph Burrow, in Austin, TX, will go up against Samuel George Ehlinger (Sam) who is solid 236 lbs, at home and a Heisman candidate.

We’ve had average qbs with Lee, Etling and Burrow last year and none of them won the national championship.

To get it done these days you need elite qb play

We need to go out and get an elite QB then.

Yeah, guys less than elite may turn into elite, but the easiest way to do this is get the elite guy in the first place.
