Spot on! when you play a team with slightly less talent and you are obviously dominating for the most game, keep self-inflicting and giving opponent hope of coming back is never a good sign of you being ready to play a team with equivalent or better talent (BAMA).

I thought I have heard enough of this WIN IS A WIN crap. There is always room for improvement for a team that aims to contend for NC, and you better start correcting your mistake while you are still winning.

If you're playing Ohio State's schedule its crucial

It doesn't matter if you are THE Ohio State.
To the media, undefeated and blowouts with their schedule is better than respectable wins and one loss with our schedule.

My dream year would be to somehow get in the BSCNC with 1 loss and TheOSU get left out with an undefeated season. Would be hilarious.

Yes against good teams for style points.

Yes against bad teams to fine tune your play and for style points.

This is exactly right. We need to put teams away and too often we dont and let teams hang around. One day, we'll lose one of those games. We should have beaten TCU by at least 20 points, but with 6 minutes to go they were only down 3. Way too close for how much we dominated that game.

Red zone play calling needs to improve. Field goals won't be good enough against the better teams on our schedule.

But this would never happen.

agree with justmebeno; you don't need to humiliate lesser opponents but you don't want to let a freak play determine the outcome of a game you have clearly been in control of.
