That’s my question right now

The answer lies in whether the play calls that have mostly failed would have mostly succeeded with better O-line play. I can honestly say I do not know the answer. I have seen some folks online who have said many of the play calls are fine, but the execution is off.

Sloan then Davis

We had an amazing OL last year. The scheme obviously makes it difficult to block. You don’t have two straight years of inability to run the ball at all and it be just players or position coaches.

Our tendencies, our alignment, our never moving our QB makes defenses capable of looking forward and crashing immediately

Even when we pass I am sure the DL is told to get in initial throwing lanes, knowing we never change anything. If Nuss has dropped back 200 times, I would bet all 200 are to the sane spot. It makes it pretty easy and that’s all on Sloan

Yea, Brad Davis designed the spread offense for Nuss. Make it, make sense.

Can’t run an offense when you’re running for your life

Yes.

Davis' line coaching is shite and Sloan can't figure out what his offense should look like because of that weakness.

I am in no way defending Sloan. I don't like a lot of the stuff they run and not having a short yardage power package is mind boggling. But we saw this offense put up big numbers last year with a line that couldn't run block. This line can't pass block or run block. How can we really know how much of this is on Sloan when the O-line is so damn bad. I think that is why we see so many wr screens. Even the TD to Traydez. It looked like a screen at first but go back and look at the line. That wasn't a screen, they didn't let the D line in, they totally whiffed. Don't get me started on the TD to Thomas. I am still trying figure out how Nuss was able to get that pass off. Yeah I know Sloan is not good. But the degree to how bad of a job he is doing is unknown because this absolutely the worst line I have ever seen at LSU and I have been watching since 1980.

Who would be a reasonable replacement for Sloan? I think he and Davis may be gone after Saturday night.

100% we have 1st RD OT and can’t run to save our life ly

Also QB’ talent should not be a problem with Heisman only two short years ago.

Seriously how does one f that up so bad.

If I'm being honest, I don't know if Brad Davis knows what the hell he's doing...at all.

I also don't think Sloan knows anything about the running game. As such, you have a weak position coach not getting the direction and overall structure of a system that helps do things correctly.
