Bc he's almost a perfect coach. His passing offenses generally suck dick and that's his only drawback.

Whoa... Saban losses to less talented teams every year. Ok. But when it matters most he comes up with a gameplan that gets the job done more than any coach at this time. Gfy Ricky... You are being stupid.

Brothers Karamazov one of my favorite books of all time. Your post seems like something Ivan would write, not Dmitri.

Alabamas talent doesn't dwarf lsu's, get real. We have been lacking in qb execution, period. You can't be one dimensional against bama or you will lose. That has been our problem lately...not talent differential.

Last 4 years recruiting sites. Bama has had 5 straight #1 classes lsu has had 2 top 5 classes. Learn about reality.

elite x and o coaches dont lose to ulm and uab. i tried to let you realize this on your own but your too football ignorant to understand this. . What kind of elite x and o coach has sec talent and loses to ulm and uab? Get clue dumbass. Saban is the goat coach but its not because of his x and o prowess. He is a good x and o coach but no where near elite. If Saban was this great x and o coach he wouldnt have lost 12 games his first 3 years at lsu. He wouldnt have flamed the frick out in the nfl. He is the best recruiter ever, if he was also an elite x and o coach he would lose to inferior teams EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

would be nice if all this elite talent got LSU a little more than 10-3, including a minor bowl, which has been the trend the last five years.

They won the sec and played for a title in the last 5 years. Game wasn't even five years ago.

The sec is tough, team got a lil better, hopefully we see the big jump with the jrs.

Agreed. He's like the goofy, lovable uncle that everyone has. Might not be the sharpest tool in the shed (in terms of X's and O's and clock management), but very charismatic and he can appeal to young men and their families.

Demeanor. All his players rave about what a great man he is. They would run through walls for him.
His seat has been at least a little warm since losing to Bama in the BCS game, yet he's been recruiting at an extremely high level (outside of QB) every year since.

Both. Players who desire a player's coach will gravitate toward him. Some athletes are self motivated and just need a guiding hand, not a heavy one. If some guy wants to be treated like an expendable foot soldier and have someone yell in their face all day, then they can geaux somewhere else. Nothing wrong with that if it is required.

Personally, I kind of appreciate the mature and wise student-athlete who has their own mind and just needs instruction and are not expecting to be robots/small cogs in a big machine. Its effective system, but not preferable. A coach and program can win using either approach.
