Why not let Harris get in there and see what he can do with some help...a running game and sound OL

This usually shows itself at practice and obviously Harris hasn't consistently shown himself to be the better man running the offense.

"usually" ... some players are not good practice players ..and we need to start grooming for next year.

if we continue to develop QBs the way we have always done it,
will get the results we have always gotten.

when we benched JL, he was 5-0 for the year.
threw an int at Alabama and don't think he played again..

this is not just about THESE TWO QBs...there is something else ......

Cam developed some of the best passing QBs in the NFL and we can not pass efficiently ?

Jesus tap-dancing Christ it was one bad half. Jennings has had 17 bad halves. Not sure what point you are trying to make here. Its time to get off the keyboard Anthony.

If Harris is the sophomore that for a full year to sit behind mettemberger and AJ is the true freshman this wouldn't be in discussion

I don't get it either. Sure Harris had a horrible game at auburn but as punishment he is never allowed on the field again. Jennings has horrible games time and time again but yet never pulled and Harris isn't even allowed to come in for a series or two. He might have been the difference maker in the bama game before the :50 fiasco and then it wouldn't have even mattered.

You guys actually believe Miles doesn't want Haris to succeed?

He and Cam don't trust Haris, bottom line. Haris hasn't earned that trust. Jennings is doing almost everything right mentally, but he is obviously less physically gifted. Haris has to take the job because no one is gonna give it to him.

Like Rohan and Jamarcus? Two players that began to flourish when they became "practice players".

And based on the evidence of the one game Harris played the majority of the snaps, he's not a "gamer" either.

Jennings is a senior? No, he'll be here next year so I'm missing your point. Again, Harris isn't winning the job at practice now, who's to say he'll win it next year?

Probably has more to do with the students and their experience than the teacher.

My point is simple. The coaches don't trust Harris to competently run the offense yet. They watch him practice everyday. He hasn't won the job and he didn't grab the opportunity he was given. So to the OP's question "Is Harris Better" to run the offense. Obviously not.

Now get off the keyboard and study the playbook, Brandon. (Am I doing it right?)

Iverson had previously won the NBA MVP and went to the Finals. I don't think Harris has those type credentials.

Ironically he made that rant after they got bounced in the first round of the playoffs so great point.

Haris has too or else we are going to be watching a certain type of football where our QB completes 15 passes tops a game. Look around at the WR talent surrounding Jennings. These 8 completion games won't cut it. Haris is going to regroup and come out strong next year. He's going to take the reigns and not look back. The competition will bring out the best in him.

I believe you're right but I haven't given up on Jennings either. Remember Dak Prescott couldn't beat out Tyler Russell for two years.

Why must we be so nasty? You don't like the OP ... go to another thread. Don't eat the guy alive.... Just move on....

Harris is a much better QB but doesn't have the playbook down just yet. Also, his lack of experience is a big reason why you won't see him this year as well. Be happy with the potential of 10-3 record under Jennings and wait to see Harris mature into spring.

I don't think people are necessarily certain that Harris is better at this point. I think people realize that harris has a much higher ceiling than Jennings, so they want to start developing him now. Harris undoubtedly has a better arm and is probably a better athlete than Jennings is.

I'm fine with Jennings playing against bama if the coaches thought that at this point in their careers, Jennings gave the team a better chance to win. However, now that we have lost 3 games, does it really matter? It seems to for miles because he can mark another 10 win season on his belt. However, I would gladly take a loss to Arkansas and A&M if it meant our QB for next year gets some reps and plays meaningful snaps in an SEC game.

I watched and I do not see the reason Harris does not play anymore.

Wow you're a fricking a-hole. I have watched all games with the exception of New Mexico State. I did see the stat line for that game and I know what Harris did. But it was also New Mexico State.

Harris di well against a Mississippi State 3 man front and almost brought LSU back. But remember Jennings brought LSU back against Ark last year and Wisconsin this year.

I don't think Jennings has it right now. I also have not seen enough out of Harris to think he would put up huge numbers.
