I hear the coaches and players both speaking very highly of him. Watching the games last year, I saw a lot of missed blocks and missed assignments by him (and others). Am I missing the boat on this guy? Is he as good as advertised?

When he was blocking correctly he was a force. Was his first year playing Big Boy football in the SEC, my hope is he has improved this year as he should.

Pure talent Saahdiq Charles is probably the best but he doesn’t show it all the time. Cush is without a doubt the most technically sound but Damien Lewis is the best combo of talent and technique on the roster. He made mistakes but many other times he was rock solid and he’s one of the strongest guys on the team if not the strongest.

I hope the "new" scheme allows them to think and react faster.

that Florida game was just hot garbage OL play

Based off of last years play and film, yes he’s probably our best returning lineman.

That said, we had a lot of young OL get quality playing time last year and I expect them all to take a pretty significant step in their level of play. And like another poster said, Charles is probably our most talented player on the OL.

This OL group has a chance to be very very good and dominant for us.

We need the light to turn on for decelus or however you spell it.

This guy was our top ranked recruit according to the espn ticker on signing day that year.

He's not what we thought he could be yet, is he?

Have you seen a pic of him lately? Dude looks 290-295 and ripped
If he's healthy he's he best

that's because he's a guard playing tackle . I heard somewhere that he creamed Ika in the big cat drill .

If this happens, I expect nothing short of a playoff appearance.

He's been a disappointment, but I'm expecting him to make big strides this year.

Charles was showing out in the gym today. He looks lean and mean. If his shoulder doesn’t give him problems this season he will be one of the best LT in the SEC. He had about 15lbs of baby fat that is gone now. Like someone said earlier, he’s definitely playing under 300lbs right now but I’ll take 290-295 and be light on his feet all day long. He’s already a bully in the run game. Now if we could just find a good RT so we can play Deculus next to Charles at LG. Those two would blow guys off the ball.
