I think Trey Quinn was the best LSU reciever evar.

Mt Rushmore of LSU recievers are

1. Trey Quinn
2. Xavier Carter
3 No need for a third face because the first two were so GOAT

Sorry as I read this post, Josh Reed was open for another pass

I have Reed and Chase on the same level. They were both the best receivers in college football when they played.

No aruging with ya....except Josh Reed was always wide open. He achieve 1740 yards in 94 catches.

Jamar did 1780 in 84 catches...

Just insane.

Except Landry had more yards, receptions, and TDs.

Landry's has 40 more yards and basically was behind OBJ missed most of the Arkansas game. Obj had 19.5 YPR and Jarvis had 15.5.

If you watched the season, you can't say OBJ was third fiddle. Not to mention OBJ had a better overall career, and was returning punts and kicks and in general was a freak.

Reed was more dangerous after the catch.

It’s a much more reasonable thing to say than OBJ was our entire offense.

Equal imo

He caught a lot more balls near the LOS though

I think it’s very close.

I’d pick Chase if I had to pick one but what Reed did during that era of the SEC was pretty remarkable.

I’m glad he got his drop issues fixed. The summer of 10000 catches helped him tremendously

fair,

Half of our passing game was jump balls to OBJ and the other half was underneath routes to Jarvis.

OBJ is somehow overlookeved, even thought he was fast, had good hands, ran good routes, was physical catching the ball in the air, out up good numbers while playing in pretty closed offense that still only threw the ball 326 times.

And honestly, I am a HUUUUUUUGE fan of Chase. I will stan for all Rummel alums, but I think you have to admit OBJ is probably equally as good from a talent perspective.

I have no problem with anyone making that argument.

It definitely didn't hurt anyone.

Well, anyone on LSU's team. Everyone else, yes.

Joe Brady gets a lot of deserved credit for fixing the scheme, but he is underrated as a WR coach.

Not yet. He can be jammed at the line. You saw it a few times this season like with that MSU db.

Landry was a better route runner, catcher of the ball and WAY stronger. He was a tremendous blocker. The downside of him was his speed, but it didn’t matter because as all y’all may recall he was up there in receptions his first 3 years in the league. Also, go find him play db and CRUSH people on special teams.
He was a good PR despite he didn’t do a lot which says a lot about his open field running.

Todd Kinchen would have KILLED in this offense. Too bad he played when he did.

Carson was one of my favorites. He could flat out fly and go get the ball. Too bad he was caught-up in the world of 3 yards and a could of dust Cholly Mac offense and KC was garbage for QBs when he was there.
Here is an article on him.
Probably one of if not the best considering what he had and what he dealt with in those offenses.
