It’s a good thing you aren’t a coach. Damn.

Do you really think better coaches like Saban or Dabo are putting up with prima donna bullshite, or guys showing up to meetings or workouts whenever they fricking feel like it? These things have to be established right at the outset. A culture where players are held accountable, not just to the coaches, but also their fellow teammates, has to be implemented day one. You can’t create any kind of program of substance indulging players.

As for O, he didn’t build shite. He had Aranda and Ensminger and a good group of leaders on the field. Once they started leaving, it all fell apart because it didn’t come from the top.

You conveniently forgot how O fricked it all away and set the program back to its worst position in 20 years in less than 2 seasons. frick off with your shilling for that fraud.

Tyrann and Perrilloux both regret the hell out of their poor decisions now.

I’m sure they do, especially TM who’s been vocal about it. Doesn’t change the fact that letting things slide would likely have taken two championships from Bama (2009 and 2012).

If you still had to sit to transfer, a new coach could get away with the drill sergeant model to a greater extent. But with the new rules you’ve honestly just gotta pander and put up with more.
Now I see what's going on here! Just because your wife and kid shake their head yes and agree with you over dinner doesn't mean you should share that thought with the rest of the world! They just agree so they don't have to listen to you try to explain your reasoning on that one subject for the next 4 hours.

I wish some of our "fans" would hit the transfer portal...

The McGlothern deal

It was not CBK's choice. Young baw had a choice to be a Tiger, or Tiger bait. He chose poorly.

How many other stupid threads are you going to start, questioning our new coach, before he has any games behind him? It will take time to undo the damage that fricking muppet did. Rip the Band-Aid off.

Many of the players in the Portal just want to be re-recruited. Cash hand shakes and NIL deals. The NCAA created this shite show.

The McGlothern deal has me a little concerned that Kelly has come in and tried to lay down the law from the get go instead of getting to know the team and earning their respect.
wtf??

Set the standard now - before you 'get to know them' = THEN forge relationships with those who buy in to the new standard.

NEVER mold 'standards' to avoid 'situations' with your favorites. NEVER!!

as much as we loathe him Saban has earned the right to be a tyrant. Kelly has to show why he should be followed.

We’re talking about to same Brian Kelly right? The guy with the second most wins in college football? He doesn’t have to prove shite to a bunch of 19 year olds. You’re either in or out. If out, he’ll go find somebody else

With the immediate transfer rule, you can’t be so heavy-handed even if your goal is to create a more disciplined environment. I’m not saying this is how it should be, but it’s how it is

seems like with this statement you would have your own successful power 5 team....gtfo...these kids havent had real leadership in sometime....this is what leadership is...you get with the program or go some where else

I think you should relax and let Coach Kelly do his job. Based on results, he knows what he is doing.

You mean like Perrilloux and Mathieu, which probably each cost us a Natty?

Absolutely. You can’t run a program where the players call the shots. Our last HC proved that emphatically.

It is his way or the highway! There are plenty talent kids who want to be at LSU. Football is team sport, what you have seen the last couple of years was me,me,me.

So you’re afraid that they might transfer if the requirements are too strict or demanding? Better now than later. Anyone transferring BC they see this being harder than before had best leave now.
These are supposed to be young men and up for the challenge. It certainly won’t be any easier anywhere else.
