Is Aranda That Smart?

From a previous thread about Burrow's recruitment, LSU AD staff member VolTiger13 stated:

Ok, so it's a given that Aranda and Busch know each other pretty well and that Busch knows the Burrow family pretty well.
My question is: when did Busch tell Aranda about the possibility that Joe Burrow would transfer if Meyer jammed him? This conversation could have happened in February, before Aranda turned down A&M and hired Busch.
If so, Aranda is waaay smarter and more proactive than I thought he was.

It’s not THAT far fetched to think that it may have been something mentioned at some point as a very long shot bonus of hiring Busch but it’s ridiculous to think that Aranda hired him for that reason or that it was even a serious consideration for hiring a safeties coach. He was hired because he’s a great safeties coach and recruits well

yes aranda is awesome. Hand picking Busch got LSU in the door with burrow and his family. Ensminger then brought him home.

Just sounds highly coincidental. Aranda is smart, nobody doubts that, but I doubt the Defensive Coordinator hired a safety’s coach 3 months ago with the sole intention of him recruiting an offensive player who is currently enrolled at another powerhouse school.

No, I wouldn't imply Busch was hired for any reason other than being the best available safety's coach out there. Plus Aranda knew him and knew he would be a good fit.
But that's not the point. If you walk this whole thing backward, you end with a conversation between Aranda and Busch about Burrow coming to LSU. And this conversation was likely held two months ago, long before OSU's Spring Practice started.

If you follow the principle of Occam's Razor you would know this is the only logical conclusion. The only question is of the time frame. That's my point - this happened two months ago, not last week. This has been in the planning stage since February.

Do you really think we hired a safety coach just because he knows the family of Ohio States 3rd string QB who had not even announced that he was transferring at the time the safety coach was hired?
We hired him just get a QB who could not get on he field at another school and it was just a bonus that he could coach safeties?
