I must be the only one that thinks a revenge beatdown on Iowa by our true freshman QB is just what the doctor ordered after the season we've had. LSU 44 IOWA 17

Rantes who say Tampa/St. Pete is a poor venue for a bowl game are just wrong. I lived in that area for 4 years. The stadium is a first rate experience. And besides the game, there are lots of entertainment alternatives including Busch Gardens with the kids...Mons Venus to watch the "shoe show" without the kids of course...to great Cuban restaurants like the Columbian...to parties at Ybor City...to Clearwater Beach to appreciate the hard bodies.

Don't think he will. He's already blown the Auburn game and remained very calm throughout, just like he did against Iowa. He gone, just like when he lost to Iowa before. When he's calm, seems like the deal is done...

How is anyone "excited" or sees this bowl as an "accomplishment"?
This is a letdown and a slap in the face to the tiger faithful!
I cannot understand for the life if me how someone feels like this is a great game/season. To me its just another crappy bowl game against a crappy opponent!!

Agreed. I love Clearwater Beach. It is truly underrated and very beautiful drive leading to the beach from Tampa. Bay Street at International Mall also provides more entertainment. Upscale though.

However, I hate these kinds of games because we don't perform well against teams we are supposed to be better than. Penn State comes to mind.

The other teams always seem to be excited to play us, but we our team finds it hard to get motivated for teams like this.

Not a chance. Auburn will rush for 450 against FSU. This ain't the ACC Championship Game.

Is that the only time you've watched FSU?

Auburn has to. They can't do anything else. And I think FSU's defense is going to give Auburn fits. Kelvin Benjamin matched up against Auburn's DB's? I feel bad for those kids' parents.

Some really pathetic LSU fans around here. Thinking we are too good for the Outback Bowl and too good for Iowa. We had a good, not great season. Also, this is a nice bowl. Get off of your high horses LSU fans, you are starting to sound like Bama fans.

Hey, have fun in the NOLA Bowl!

Thank you for that irrelevant comment, but the crappyness of Lafayette's bowl does not take away from the crappyness of this bowl. I even have friends in Iowa, but I just can't get enthusiastic about this.
