Networks will do anything for ratings, so why can't they add a second night game on the 23rd? How much advance do they need? In other words, if we beat Bama on the 9th, why not move LSU-A&M to prime time?

They can add a second game at night. They will have to negotiate it with ESPN and espn will get the rights to one game the following year. Both are likely if LSU beats bama. If LSU loses then it will be a 2:30 game. LSU - Bama will be at night.

Because CBS only has ONE pick (1st pick) per week, except 10/19 and 11/9 when they can air a doubleheader.

When we beat Bama, there will be a definite push to make the A&M game a prime-time night game in TS.

Book it.

great. another 2:30 game with a zillion commercials.

That is what comes with elite success.

We could always return to the early 90ies when almost all of our home games started at 7.

I think it has something to do with an agreement with the other networks. There is precedence for the other networks allowing it to happen in exchange for future considerations.

What games are worth a doubleheader this weekend?

I also believe it would take an upset of Alabama by LSU to move our game with A&M to primetime.

Then you need to go for that job. I have no doubt that he makes several times what you make. Go for it dude.

Yea, but the push will not be as hard as it was for LSU/Bama a few years back when they had the #1/#2 team with the winner having a clear inside track to the NC game.

Unless there are a lot of upsets prior to the LSU/A&M game, the winner will still need help to reach the NC game.

Large price for CBS to pay ESPN to make this game a prime time game.

It'll be a CBS day game.

..other games that week that are worth a shite:

Baylor vs Oklahoma St
Oregon vs Arizona
Washington vs Oregon St
UCLA vs Arizona St

If you look at the current rankings, only our game and Baylor/Oklahoma State has two ranked teams in a HTH matchup.

If we both enter with only 1 loss, it'll be a top 5 matchup at that point.

Clemson vs FSU loser will drop, and Alabama would drop behind both of us, at a minium.

#4 vs #5 matchup, at worst.
