Dinardo won 7 games in 1996 and went to the Shreveport bowl. He did that with over 40 guys who would play in the league.
It was 1995....I guess somebody should throw Curley a bone for recruiting those players

Herb Tyler would have won Les some games. He would turn his shoulder upfield. Jefferson never did that once that I saw.

Tex,
I'd like to see the list of those 40 guys...

if Dinardo woulda left Carl Reese and Morris Watts alone and let them do their jobs he would STILL be the coach ... sound familiar?

The reason we go 8-5 in spite of all our NFL talent is because the SEC is loaded with NFL talent now to the point that talent gaps are not wide enough that good coaching cannot overcome them. We're tops in talent but that is by a narrow margin and is not large enough overcome below average game planning and coaching. Danielle Hunter's time at LSU epitomizes what below average coaching can do to great talent.

Doesn't matter anymore. Les's run has come to an end. Bottom line. Time to move on
That's the problem-- his run has not come to an end. He is the coach for at least one more year. All the crying and bitching won't change that. This horse has been beat to death (insert favorite emoticon). give it a rest till next year when either you will or will not have something to bitch about.

It looked Like Hallman left a lot of talent for Dinardo's BRING BACK THE MAGIC TOUR. Just no money for Staffs to get the most out of the players

Sniff, sniff, no body will ever come to LSU anymore.

It is because they leave early to go pro. Very few starting seniors on the teams under Miles. This proves the coaches can coach. So they lose their best leaders to the NFL. This is the reason the Tigers are never senior laden. This creates a loss of talent and leadership ability. Who is at fault?
However, the NFL teams are smiling. Look at the great performances of some LSU players who joined the draft and are playing outstanding football at the NFL level: Peterson, Collins, Hill, Beckham, Randle, etc, etc. Had these men stayed on campus think of the valuable talent the Tigers would have had for another year or two!

1997 team (10-2) and 1998 team (4-7) put 40 guys in the NFL!!!!
You have to define what you mean by putting 40 guys in the NFL. Most people would think that means they were on an opening day roster. There were only 14 guys on the rosters of both teams that were drafted and some were redshirts for one of the years. While I'm not sure, I think most, and maybe all of the 14, made rosters. Still there would need to be a shite load of undrafted free agents that made rosters to reach 40. I would have to see a list before I believe 40.

Ummmmmmmmmmm. When you drop from 10 wins down to 4 , yes, you will get on a hot seat. If you drop from 10 wins to 8 wins you just have to listen to a lot of spoiled brat verbal shite.

But it won't be. By F King and Alleva not taking action and their mishandling of Miles which has undercut his recruiting, LSU will become more talent barren in the future.
In other words the long they wait for a new coach, the less talent on the team.
We currently have and are going to finish with one of the top recruiting classes in the country. You are an idiot.

check out that 2000 roster that Saban inherited. anyone who says he walked into an empty cupboard is an idiot
That team had some great talent... Saban just knew how to get them to believe how to win........... But at the same time..Saban's 2003 team was better than Miles best team in 2011.................

The biggest thing about DiNardo was he was doing well then he ran off Carl Reese and hired his buddy Tepper then he ran off Morris Watts and hired his buddy Bob McConnell.
I don't know if it's an exact parallel to Cam/BDP but the high and mighty stubborness, I'm gonna do it my way whether it's working or not is a pretty clear parallel.

But by YOUR own metric and expectation, this team is performing as it should. Is what you expect not good enough to meet your expectations?

I'm gonna need a list of those guys before i believe that. You might be counting guys twice.

you are wrong as hell. the more time elapses since the year end bull shite the better recruiting will be. we are still going to sign a great class; better than lately (screw the bull shite rankings) because we will actually be signing DL and LB. my big concern is OL.

Lou tepper - complete linebacking! Dude had no clue. Was gerrys downfall.

Miles is a great coach.
Even when he loses it is a win. One should not gauge his greatness simply by wins and losses
