No, obviously there are scenarios that can happen. Picks, fumbles, injury arc. I just feel LSU have the better team coming into the season.

I watched a lot of Miami last season. They were no better than LSU . Very soft division.

It'll be close on Sunday, but if all goes ok.. LSU will have a score to spare.

More useless statistics. Florida State and Texas won 7 games last year and you guys won 9. We smoked ND. Your coaching staff is subpar and that's where this game will be won.

Get out of here with blue-chip ratio.

I’m most worried about our new offense. If they struggle with the pass early, the defense could be in for a long game.

Going to be a good game, don't let some of the posters on here get under your skin. Everything you have said has been to the point and respectful so props to you.

Both fan bases are geeked for this game to start and one thing you can bet on, there is going to be some hitting on Sunday that is for sure!

talent level is about equal so its a fair assumption

Your argument was talent level so I gave you a information that explains that, we do in fact, have more talent. You said nothing of the coaching staffs.

The fact that you place such a large emphasis on preseason rank tells me you’re a retard.

More delusion lol. You can't see a scenario where Miami, who lost to Pitt a year ago, loses to the #25 ranked team who won 9 games last year My goodness!

Fixed it for you

LSU historically doesn't score a ton of points in season opener.

Recruiting prowess doesn't equate to on the field success 100% of the time. As a Miami fan, well aware of that fact. I didn't argue about talent level at all, I said they were about equal. Our 22 guys stack up decently well to your 22, we have blue chips riding the pine, so who cares?

You took my comment out of context clearly, please refer to the top of the thread where I am completely aware of the fact that my team may very well lose this game.

You’ve already been “Link” whipped in your talent argument. Go take a nap and come back later when you get your shite together

Coming from a member of a fan base who thinks blue-chip ratio means anything.

I don't take much stock into our ranking, #8 is too high. But to think that your team led by an inexperienced QB is going to steamroll our talented side blows my mind.

Absolutely true! But I'll still take a team with more talent any day of the week, lol.

This game can go either way, easily. With that being said, I see 31-17 LSU. Not bc LSU will have a great offense but bc this will be the best D under DA, giving LSU short field advantage.

Another fallacy of star-gazing is in relative age. LSU's highly rated 19 yr-olds might not be as good as slightly lesser-rated 22 yr-olds.

I think this is evident on the OL. Miami has a very large, highly rated, seasoned veteran group.

2017 27
2016 14
2015 21
2014 28
2013 37

They average 25.4 points per game going back to 2013.

What you have is Miami scoring more than 17 points.

Miami <17 points is scoring less than 17.
