I didn't want to use too many words and confuse them anymore than they already are.

It is about seeing local kids talent levels at an early age. I don't know what Dale Brown could do to help that pour kid dunk the basketball, but it sure helped LSU in the end. If you don't know the story of how Shaq by chance met Dale Brown during his early teenage years then you should look it up. This is a great opportunity for LSU to see kids before becoming recruts on other big name programs radar.

Given the choice, I suspect most kids in Louisiana would prefer to play for LSU over any other state school. Tech knows this. But they also know not every kid is going to be good enough to play for LSU. If they can build a relationship with a kid who is a really good player, but maybe just not quite good enough (at least right out of HS) to play for LSU, then the camp benefits them. The chance to impress Ed Orgeron is going to bring out more kids than simply just a chance to impress La. Tech's coaching staff.

I have no problem with a joint LSU/Tech football camp. Tech fans may have some problems with LSU being the flagship state school but overall I don’t think they care. ULL...screw them !

Post some other college football camps that are being advertised to be held on a school's campus. The ones that have a picture of another school's head coach and mentions the other school on the advertisement.
