The final score reflected our frustration with all the other sports. I think we recovered a little repsect.

You clearly don't pay much attention to sports.

yep, the NBA wants to pour even more subsidies down the drain to prop up a league that can't survive on its own.

So much for merit.

Merit........................?

This was a NEGOTIATION. Merit has nothing to do with it. LOL!
The ladies got what they deserve, and moreover they got what they could NEGOTIATE. Why? Because they had the upper hand. This is what is lost on people like yourself.

surely you understand the WNBA hemorrhages money.

It only stays alive because of the large NBA subsidies.

Even the WNBA itself projects this new deal would result in $700 million in operating losses over the course of the new CBA.

The league is kept afloat by the NBA's subsidies.

The Texas Tech coach would not be the first to know.

Surely, you understand that the OWNERS value the league. Surely you understand that ownership groups are lining up to start new franchises (which are coming this season and the following next two seasons). So, nobody cares about the "subsidies". All that matters is how the league is VALUED. Just let these ladies get what they deserve, like any other sports league and be happy for them.
