That was a bad rep forrsure, but it’s 1 play. I’ve been told he’s been consistent

You are missing the point.

No you are. It’s challenging the defense to improve their 1 on 1 coverage. Now they have film to review & can get coached up better.

Acting like performance in this drill = same results as last year even though we have new coaches & new players is just idiotic

Not gonna lie either, but in my opinion if Ryan and Burns are both starting we are in trouble.

Also @ProjectP2294 we had two corners start as freshman in 2019. Season turned out pretty good

only one freshman corner started and he was a generational 5 star. We don't have that on this team. Terrible comparison.

did you think we would magically get other players on this team playing safety? You've known this for over 6 months

No shite. I'm not saying the defense should be winning all of these reps, and I'm not saying that they can't improve. But the OP said that we were basing this off of one play and I simply stated that it wasn't just one play, it was 25.

I'm not acting like the results will be the same as last year. But the OP has somehow came to the conclusion that the DB's will be better this year than they were last year, when at this point they are performing just as bad against receivers that probably aren't as good as last year. Calling your shot about all SEC players and talking about how good freshmen are based on 4 days of practice is also idiotic.

Looks like we are going to have to score a lot this year. Yes the wide receivers have the advantage there in that drill but still.

That new DT did look quick off the ball (31 I think).
Guillory still hasn’t shown me much

Stamps even looks different in his uniform this yr.

Confident and healthy.

That said, You never want to start a redshirt freshmen and true fresh at corner in the sec.

Considering he was getting juked out of his shoes by Pimpton do you feel the same?

Pimpton is almost as big and just as athletic.

Once he gets settled he will have a great career imo.

In like the 4th practice, that’s a good thing. Offense has a huge advantage, and it’s something Spears can learn from. I think we have plenty of numbers and versatile talent at DB. With a month of practice, the coaches will have them as ready to go as possible by the USC game. They’ll make mistakes, obviously, but I think our DEs and blitzes by Perk, Burns, safeties, basically all over the field, will be able to confuse USC’s QB enough to get big sacks, forced fumbles, and picks. We’re gonna give up yards, but we’ll make big plays too. Gotta make sure we don’t turn the ball over, and I think we come out of Vegas with a close win. Then we have a break to get the young guys better where they can play more straight up when they need to.

But we’re not gonna be a “bend, but don’t break” defense most likely. Gonna be more high risk, high reward.

Video from today’s WR’s vs DB’s… Obviously the offense has an advantage..but the separation is GLARING. At one point Corey just threw his hands up. Sage Ryan is a liability. We better pray our Front can get pressure.

After watching that video it looks like stamps, Woodland, jk johnson/ sage at corner. I like stamps and Woodland. Jk johnson also looked good.

Wide receiver is stacked once again. I was sleeping on Chris Hilton. He will be in the nfl next yr. Lacy, Hilton, daniels, Aaron anderson/Thomas.

Safety is in good hands for the future. Spears and kylin Jackson look legit. Jardin Gilbert will start at one spot imo.

I Think guillory and suggs should start at tackle. Suggs has some juice and guillory can stop the run. After those two you basically have no one proven. Paez I guess. Shone Washington needs a bunch of coaching and reps.

LINK

Sage Ryan has been a liability. Is a liability. And will continue to be a liability if we count on him. It's been time to move on.

Also, this dude's channel is pretty good.

Obviously Kelly trusts him if he is rotating him at safety and corner. He had a pretty good pff grade last yr. I just don't think he is an outside man corner.

Problem is they don't really have any upperclassmen they trust more.

This is why guys like stamps and Woodland are in line to start and backup.

I was thinking the exact opposite. "Hey bud, we're gonna rotate you back and forth because we need you sooo much at both positions!"

If you've got a guy that can be a legit corner or a legit Safety, then you give him all the reps at one of those positions. This sounds like Sage is gonna be nothing more than a depth piece and not starting at either.

I'll be honest idk what goes into calculating that but if Sage ranked good on it last year than that metric is absolute dog shite.
