Dude, they held Ohio State to 10 points. Did you watch the game? Their lines were physical and they don’t make many mistakes.
this is what I saw also.

ETA: doesn't it always come down to that? UGA vs. Bama... Simpson running for his life and taking hits regularly.

Explain the shrimp boat captain with our 2019 team then. If he was such a great coach, why hasn't anyone tried to hire the HC of the best team ever???

Explain Lessssss Miles losing 14 games in 2007 and still lucking into the title game and winning it.

Yes, I understand Brady and Aranda, but you still need top shelf talent to win it.

Our 2 most recent titles were won because we overwhelmed the opponents with our "horses".

Cignetti still hasn't done it by the way, and his team looks pretty damned talented to me.

Coaching matters. Schools don't recruit themselves and talent doesn't automatically equal wins.
Just imagine how good Indiana would be if they had a Heisman candidate playing QB for them.

Just imagine how good Indiana would be if their coach could have added their second-best rusher (best last night) and second-best receiver and a host of other starters from his former team. Honestly, what if Cignetti could have merged the best talent of two teams?

But hey, I don't want to throw off your Sunday morning musings with facts.

100%. Been beating this drum for years. It’s even more important now as NIL and the transfer portal evens out the talent pool.

You have a respected head coach who can spot and recruit other great coaches to join their staff, it feeds upon itself.

LSU has relied too heavily on being the highest bidder vs. a destination where both players and coaches can develop and advance their careers.

I believe Kiffin will make LSU a destination again vs. simply a piggy bank and bridge to retirement.

I understand what you are saying, but Ohio St hasn't been tested since Texas game one. How do we know if Ohio St is all that? Look at Bama for example. You csn clearly see their biggest flaws and they've faced enough strong teams to make it true that their weaknesses and strengths exist. Ohio St's QB has faced a tough defense once all year before Indiana. They didn't have some crazy run game this year either.

I think UGA will win the championship this year.
