I'm about ready for AI to take over officiating in all major sports. These games are too important (it's WBB I know, point still stands) to leave to the underpaid, unskilled labor anymore.

I didn’t catch the early part — did Angel whack a usc player in the face??

We get bad officiating in most games, in every sport, all year long. Think about how seldom any fanbases come away like, “Wow, those refs/umps really called a clean game.” Worse, it’s only getting worse as evidenced today

They let usc get away with too much from the jump

Exactly correct. The refs failed to take control early. They let the game get out of control.

Angel did elbow Cardoso in the face in the first half but it was retaliation

Well, yeah. I think that’s the point of the thread. They were allowed to get away with it.
