Remember it, right it down, take a picture!

The difference here is that I’m making a casual fan observation and asking questions. Not preaching the doom and demise of the entire basketball program in every thread on the board . Huge difference

I have no doubt you actually believe this.

A typical prom response to a similar football related comment would have been “The coach just had a top ranked class year and this class isn’t even complete yet because the next signing period is 3 months away. I think he knows what he is doing. LOL OMG you people, this fan base”.

Mays is the only player on the team that played for Jones.......we are talking about the season before last. Lol. Wade has done a complete turn around and we have a team that is a tough out in the NCAA tourney in just 2 years. This guy will have bigger programs knocking at the door soon. Aleva better make good on all promises made and be ready to negotiate when the time comes.

not even halfway through our conference schedule and the sky is already falling next year christ

Smart is going to the guy when Waters leaves. He will make the biggest jump from freshman to sophomore. Mays will still be Mr. Consistent and lead us. Courtese Cooper is a guy I think has a good year for us next year. He's gotta put on some weight but he's a very good player. Days and Williams will be a year better along with Marlon Taylor. Only thing we need to find is rim protection.

Right. And i was asking about it. I casually keep up with basketball recruiting and I just haven’t seen anyone that jumps out. Did i say anything about ‘20? Did I make a snarky comment like “oh, I thought Wade was supposed to be some elite recruiter?” etc etc etc and then continue into the “decline” of the basketball program.

I made the observation that the current class right now is very underwhelming. Someone mentioned that it was on its way to being pretty decent class and if you read back, I ask “what’s the outlook?”

Again, huge difference between what I’m asking and the normal demolition of an entire coaching staff and program.

Nah you said “woof”. That is enough ammunition for patrolman prom to come unhinged in a football thread.

Yep. Describing the current state of the ‘19 class. Is that not an accurate description? 88th in the country....

“ huge difference”

Coach Wade took over a program in total disarray, hadn’t been nationally ranked, had losing season, and which was recruiting pretty poorly on the whole. Coach O took over a program that was recruiting well, hadn’t had a losing season in 16 years, had played in three national championship games in the last 13 seasons, and was nationally ranked.

Huge difference between the two programs and what should be expected of each..

I don’t know whether or not the basketball guys will be able to maintain this level of play, but frankly, what they have done to this point in time I find to be amazing considering where they came from and how quickly it was done.

Y’all are really throwing a fit about me acknowledging the current recruiting class in basketball.

Speaking of throwing fits, remember when you wanted people to stop bitching about the offense if they scored 25 points, which would’ve been below their average at the time, against an Arkansas team that was giving up over 30 ppg?

And you have the audacity to attempt to preach perspective in a basketball thread.
