Can see why he understood he was not going to be utilized going forward.

We talking Leon or Lanyard?

referring to Lenyard. Great guy with great future but running game was a drag especially when he was carrying.

The run game as a whole really didn’t start popping till the Florida game.

Probably because he had to drag around that "u" between the "o" and the "r".

One game definitely defined his entire career.

Probably because he sucked. See that game again guy couldn’t get out of a wet bag of rice

The weird takes against the Fournettes on this board are a little mind boggling.

What were you expecting to see?

And you would know this how?

No such person. The Fournette brothers (not Fornette) were Leonard and Lanard.
Not Lenyard or Lanyard (from another post).
A lanyard is a cord or strap worn around the neck that holds a plastic thing for a game ticket.

Watch him against Auburn...He does better. Just go to YouTube and type in Fournette vs Auburn.

Weird thread, but I agree with the OP. This is why CEH’s stellar performance from the Bama game onwards was such a shock to me. We were giving snaps to Fournette, who was not an SEC talent (not even at Vandy). And the year before CEH was kept on the bench by Brossette, who was serviceable, but not as good as LSU’s starting back usually is. Add to these that CEH really hadn’t even flashed much.
Going into the Bama game I thought we had the better team, mainly on the strength of the QB position. However, I thought we were at a big disadvantage at RB. Najee Harris is a tremendous RB, and I thought we were just serviceable. Then Clyde made play after play after play and was the MVP along with Burrow and Chase.
