It was bizarre-- "negatigers" were predicting greater success, to set the bar high and call season a failure and "O pumpers" were setting bar lower to call season a success.

its true.

many people (myself included) stated a prediction of 10-2 and were told by bencoleman and p&g that we were being unrealistic in our predictions. sorry I guess we just expect a team with the 7th most talented roster in the country to be able to win double digit games.

The players deserve credit as well, particularly the ones that stepped up and played better than expected.

Do we even have any of those. This board is littered with thread after thread of people saying we have no talent this year.

By overachieve you mean sign another subpar recruiting class to widen the talent gap between LSU and other top programs?

His recruiting has not been elite, but the reasons mentioned were Cole Tracy, Joe Burrow, and resigning Dave Aranda.

I agree with you though, Orgeron needs to over-achieve with an elite signing class (Top 5) this year. I.Sopsher doesn't seem likely so we need to flip one of those MS DL recruits.

In other words, the best way to describe the season is as a "push."

3 losses. Moving on up.

LSU hasn’t played in a NY6 bowl game since 2011 & just once in th past decade & you’re going to sit here and act like every loss is the same. Awesome logic BOX.

In Miles last two years they lost 3 combined games to Ole miss & Ark by a combined score of 34-86. Mixed in was a 7-41 loss to auburn.

Mental midget.

I like that you conveniently leave out wins over 3 ranked teams (25, 18, and 8) in 2015, one of them a 45-21 blowout out of no 18 Auburn.

Also, we beat #3 Ole Miss in 14 and took a much better Bama team to OT.

But hey, if you want to cherry pick games to make a case that 0 is better than Les, you do you.

No reason to be sorry. LSU was a razor's edge away from meeting your regular season's expectation. Ranked 10th with NY6 bowl possibility, and chance to get the double-digit wins. Not too terrible of an ending, if they win the last one.

NY6 bowls have only been thing since the playoffs. Les was coach for a whole 2 seasons while they existed.

Is it the end of the year ranking OR ranking at the time that counts?

Wait, so now you are trying to tell me not all wins & losses are the same?

Thanks for proving my point. Maybe next time you won’t ignorantly say 9-3 is 9-3

Florida is ranked No. 9 and will go to a NY6 bowl.

You can't blast Auburn and Miami for not being as good as expected, without crediting Florida for being better.

No. I'm just filling in the gaps from your cherry picked data.

9-3 is 9-3. There's nothing ignorant about it. We are LSU, we care about results, not excuses for why the results aren't as good as they could be.

If you were told at the beginning of the season that LSU would beat Miami, Auburn and UGA, you would have been OK with 9-3 as the result? You wouldn't have expected more?

What a dumbass thing to say... and I’ll tell
You why.

Had we been picked first in conf and finished 2-3-4th then you people would been first to say we underachieved.

Based on preseason thought as opinions LSU absolutely exceeded expectations.

If we lose the bowl game this season is no better than the last 5-6 years

Except 9-3 is not 9-3. Who you beat and who you lose to are important, as reflected in the rankings.

The voters absolutely recognize this.

We are comparing 9-3 at LSU to 9-3 at LSU.

“old miss and Ark”

Won a combined 18 games in 2015. They both were much stronger programs at that time than now. The fact you use them without noting such only highlights your own “Mental midget” status.
