I agree. There were double-digit pitches that startled me w the call. WTF? X 10. Would be nice to see the MLB “box” for validation.

That ump called a very low almost in the dirt strike zone. What. Gets me is it almost had it out for certain White saw two pitches way outside and got called a atruke.

Plate ump sucked to the point I almost wondered if he had money on the game.

Meh…there was probably 1 AB wake got really fricked on.

Floyd should have made it out of that inning but that ump got his fat feelings hurt and really out the screws to him

That’s not how it works. Good batters adjust based on Umpire strike zone. If umpire doesn’t even know strike zone, good players cannot adjust and swing at everything.

Wake could have lost. It was bad game for both

The players did, not the officials. Errors by players are completely different than a n umpire going blind for an inning.

The other team’s fielding error is much different than an incompetent or compromised umpire, clown. Terrible take.

I did, and I also watched the rest of the game when we left an inning with runners on the corners, no outs without scoring.

The tv announcers showed a graphic of a “hologram” strike zone tonight. Is there a web link, etc. available for viewing the balls/strikes called by the ump? I’m sure that was tracked by NCAA for ump evaluation, but I guess that wouldn’t be available to “fans”. That ump might find a horse head in his bed tonight if that was made public.

He really squeezed Floyd. Floyd wasn't sharp but he got ultra tight that inning.

Ok boss. The umpires crappy strike zone kept Wake’s pitcher n the game. It helped Ty some, but for the most part Ty was blowing fastballs by them. Until the 6th, when the strike zone shrunk appreciably to anyone who was watching. So to sum it up, the ump kept their starter in the game but ran ours out (when his strike zone suddenly shrunk). Think that might have favored one team a little more.

Contrarian gonna contrarian

His strike zone went to the size of a pie plate in the course of an inning

Hitters sucked but nothing wrong with complaining about how shite blue was for us

Grats on the huge W tonight

What does that have to do with you saying "both teams had the same umpire", as if to suggest that he called the game the same both ways? That bottom of the 6th inning was a huge deviation, that caught the attention of even unbiased viewers, as I pointed out.

You haven't addressed, much less refuted that point, by pointing to an entirely different situation. LSU screwed up in the 8th. But you know what the difference is? LSU decided that for themselves, with their own play. That's how games are supposed to be decided. Two runs scored against us in the 6th, largely due to a suddenly much tighter zone, in which actual strikes were called balls, while this guy was calling balls "strikes" throughout much of the rest of the game.

That is the complaint. If you want to talk about something else, go right ahead. But don't use another talking point that has nothing to do with the topic in this thread as an attempt to deflect from the main point.
