I think it is

What is the incentive to get better if you are being told that no matter how good you are, you won't start?

And this year he decided otherwise.
So?
Anyway let's not stray. If you want to bash Miles do it in another thread. This a Jefferson Bash thread.

"I've been garbage for two years in a row and I'M STILL PLAYING!!!"

Is the Bash of the Day. Feel free to join in.
Got any good garbage quotes?

what does Lucks spring game have to do with excuses for JJ?

bottom line....i'll take the coaching staffs word on personnel decisions over a bunch of message board jockeys

point is....spring games or highly scripted, meaningless, glorified practices.

You really need to quit

A highly scripted, meaningless, glorified practice resulted in the QB going 4/14, vs. the 2nd team defense, while also producing better stats for two other QBs, going against the 1st team defense.

Miles needs a better script.

:omg:

i thought JJ looked better than last year. He had a couple of dropped passes and the defense made a couple of great plays on some others. Just my opinion though.

do you think Jefferson is
Above average, average, or below average?

I just want to see you answer a question directly, you know actually taking a stance relating to play on the field.

berating people is probably easier though, that way you cant be criticized for your own opinion.

Jefferson? He's a member of the Upright Citizen's Brigade off the field, but as long he keeps going 4-for-14 -- those were his numbers Saturday -- Jefferson will be the one under suspicion. Despite a performance that included two fumbles, an interception and being sacked, he is entrenched at No. 1 going into the fall. There has to be a reason that The Mett-siah remained No. 3 on the depth chart and the 92nd-rated passer of 2010 remains No. 1.

JMO. Yes there is

Miles is not going to hand over the keys to the corvette unless Mett stays on the straight and narrow here at LSU for a while... or JJ forces him to make the change

QB is a leadership position

I'll take what I've seen the past 2 years and especially that McNesse game with JJ going for 14 yds

I think it would be much more productive if Miles just came out and told the fans, the media, and the world how much JJ has been sucking it up this spring (no matter how untrue it may be)......then point and laugh at him and maybe smack him around a bit in front of his family.

i dont know, may do him some good...lesson called hummility

Having a better arm and better accuracy and looking more relaxed during the only game that fans and everyone got to watch.

"I really wasn't in the best situations at times," Jefferson said of 2010. "It's kind of hard to be successful when you're in a third-and-six situation. That puts you in a situation you have to complete a 10-, 12-yard pass. That's kind of hard for any quarterback to do. If you [convert] 20 percent of that, that's almost good."

JJ should have ended this quote with a "San Dimas High School football rules!"

So Miles should start Mett because of what he did during the spring game in front of the fans....even though all reports coming out of spring camp were that JJ outplayed him? But if the fans don't see it then it didn't happen. OK.

Not naming a starter in 05, 06, or 07 meanings nothing since LSU never had a 2 year starter coming back in any of those seasons. imo
