had a water oak about 15ft from ours. Had a crew come in and skin it all the way up on the side face the pool. It’s not our tree, it’s on the other side of my fence on land owned by the MUD.

We have a semi unground pool. About 1/3 the cost of a true inground. Neighbor just put on in last week.

Ive had my pool for 26 years. I never regretted putting it in but swimming is my happy place. Always has been. The monthly bills aren't bad but it's due for another resurfacing and that is $$.

Four years in and I love mine. Helps that I outsourced maintenance. Now I just get in and use it. All the fun none of the pain.
About to get a 75” tv and soundbar installed near so I can sit in the hot tub and watch Lane wreck shop. Highly recommend if you can afford it.

Had a pool the last few places I've lived. No, love them.
My current place is out in the country, a small farm. A little drive from town but the wife liked it a whole lot better since it has a 20x40 traditional pool with a diving board.
It was a foreclosure and the pool had 13 snapping turtles living in it, But it's great now. Maintenance is minimal once you understand the chemistry.
But, I will be buying a pool heater now that global cooling is kicking in.

I absolutely love my pool. No regrets so far. 4 years in. I get almost every day in the summer. Sometimes for only 10-15 minutes in the evening. We have a flow over hot tub that we use a couple times a week from October to March too.

Great for when you have young kids who are really enthused about it. I loved ours during that time. But once they get older (they grow up quick) and the playful swimming stops it becomes a huge pain in the azz. So while I don’t regret having one when we did I’ll never do it again.

Took care of my own pool for 15 years and final turned it over to someone else last year. I should have done it 10 years ago

You feel that way a few times when you have to spend time doing some maint, but watching he grandkids enjoy it makes it all worth is. I actually get in at times. Either the Hot tub or pool, both were worth it in my opinion.
