So Miles gets a pass because football is just a game?

There's never an excuse for DWI.

Ummmm

Question: are you a supporter of Miles or not? Kinda confused.

Why are you civilians so unwilling to hold people accountable for their frick-ups? All you are doing is encouraging the "frick-ups" to keep fricking up !
Firing squads just aren't part of our daily regimen.

I support Coach Miles 100 percent. However, I would hold him accountable for his actions. I would relieve him from his duties as LSU head coach immediately.

Deep down in the Les Miles big heart, he knows that dismissal is an appropriate response to his performance on Saturday.

Well, LSU is contactually obligated to the guy. He ain't stepping down. So it is what it is.

The greatest opportunities to learn and grow as people and professionals also often arise from your mistakes, if you objectively decide to learn from them.

... and I was an enlisted Marine, and was accepted to Annapolis from there.

He deserves dismissal for the litany of mistakes he's made since he's been here, not just for Saturday night. Are you saying that if Miles was undefeated in every game he coached here then made the same exact mistakes Saturday night that he did, you would want him "relieved of his duties"?

Yep. Good point. That contract and buyout probably makes it nearly impossible to go with dismissal.
I still say it's arguably deserved.

You created one of the dumbest topics on the ran, which is very impressive. You are comparing a coach, who is under contract with an $18 million buyout, to a Commander in the military who is in charge of other people's lives.

I guess Winslow really is a soldier in your eyes

No doubt. Getting his salary to run a top program...mistakes like the ones he made Saturday are inexcusable. He will, however, get time to correct them, just as he has been saying for years.

This is the fricking dumbest analogy ever, and on top of that, the premise itself is false.

I actually do. I enjoy asking hypothetical questions when it shows the stupidity of somebody's post.

Nope. And not only that, but, maybe you've hit on the real reason why Miles can't and won't be fired anytime soon.
