Imagine if Les had benched Jefferson at halftime like Saban benched Hurts at halftime

We would have lost 41-0 instead of 21-0.

At the very least, we wouldn't have this thread 100 times a year since.

Lee would have thrown 36 interceptions.

Yet Lee carried the team on his shoulders, made it to the championship without Jefferson, and then got slapped in the face by Les.

Dude, it's the fricking national championship, spare no quarter and leave nothing on the field. No regrets at all.

If something isn't working, make changes to it.

Playing to lose by as little as you possibly can is a good reason why Les Miles is unemployed.

Saban coached to win tonight and made the change after Hurts was losing the game for them.

Imagine if Jefferson hadn’t stayed out all night at Harrah’s the previous night. Imagine if Jefferson was never offered all that money from Alabama boosters.

Right. So the people questioning why we didn't put Lee in over Jefferson might ask why we didn't putt mettenberger in instead

You honestly think JJ was going to get better?

It's the national championship and the last game of the season, leave nothing on the field and no regrets at all.

If something isn't working, change it.

I wasnt a Jefferson fan, but Lee was worse and a bigger head case.

We were not going to win that game no matter who the QB was.....that Tide defense was one of the best I've ever seen......

But you don’t stand there like the moron Les was and do nothing when your QB / team couldn’t cross the freakin 50 yd line. You have to make a change. If it doesn’t work it doesn’t work. If Nick Saban doesnt take hurts out. Alabama in all likelihood loses this game and he HAD thee balls to put in a freakin TRUE FRESHMAN

Exactly. You never know, that's why you try the other guy. Les is now on the couch on Saturdays where, sadly, he belongs.
