Yeah... we stepped onto the floor and dunked on everyone!!

6’1’’ guard that could shoot from anywhere and was an instant highlight reel.
6’7”
6’7”
7’0”
7’1”

This had something to do with it.

Two seasons in the 80’s. Stop exaggerating.

What a moron...LSU was in the top 15 in attendance for the majority of the decade and were in the top 20 in attendance all but maybe 1 or 2 years for the entire decade. The student section was jam-packed then. And in the very beginning of the 90s, LSU averaged even more and was inside the top 10 in attendance.

Imagine the disappointment when LSU leaves the court with an typical letdown. A full arena of dejected fans instead of 50% full...imagine the possibilities

This. LSU basketball has stunk for years. Can’t blame fans for not showing up yet. It’ll take a few good seasons to get the crowds back.

The student section is maybe half the size it was then.

Show me the stats that we were in the top in the country in attendance during the 80’s and I’ll consider retracting. FYI 3 years isn’t a decade. Freshen up on your math skills before you throw out stats that don’t exist.

You shouldn't post about stuff you know nothing about and then tell other people they're exagerrating.

That is what we had in the 80's. And that is why the PMAC was the loudest arena in the SEC, hands down. Students were there early, lining up to get the best seats down front. They were engaged, and they were loud.

college basketball , as a whole, isn't what it was in the 80s. it's a shite product.

You splitting hairs we averaged 11,000 fans. As most schools in the top 40 averaged. Some of those years outside of the top 20. Football was hot garbage as was baseball most of those years. I’ll retract. But those stats are padded where most teams in the top 40 were averaging that. We had over 11,000 last night. Attendance will continue to grow!!!!!!

2000 we averaged nearly 11k and 2006 nearly 10k. Winners bring crowds. Last night was just the beginning of something special that is building.

The throwing of the Reveille onto the court before the game was my favorite part of watching the students. My seats were just to the left of that section.

That was after they held them up, shook and pretended to read them during the other team's introductions.
