Imagine an entire courtside section packed with students, all the way to the top.

That is what we had in the 80's. And that is why the PMAC was the loudest arena in the SEC, hands down. Students were there early, lining up to get the best seats down front. They were engaged, and they were loud.

You can't really blame the admin for moving the students behind the goal. At some point, students stopped coming. We have an exciting product now, and they're still not coming. Maybe millennials don't like basketball.

Anyway, it will never be Deaf Dome again.

The throwing of the Reveille onto the court before the game was my favorite part of watching the students. My seats were just to the left of that section.

Uhh student section was standing room only last night?? We'll see how it is on Tuesday, but Wade seems to be marketing to students well, because we had more students last night than all of last season

Well, they had two rows of students in the last and second to last row last night that had to get out of other people's seats when they showed up, so they had a lot of students there last night.

I was there from 78-82. It was amazing.

Hate basketball now. It’s not a millennial thing.

Again, they’re not millennials. People need to realize there is another generation now.

Student section ran out of seats last night, FYI. Lots of students had to sit in ticket-holder’s seats

Imagine the disappointment when LSU leaves the court with an typical letdown. A full arena of dejected fans instead of 50% full...imagine the possibilities

I believe there will be more sellout crowds next year than non sellouts. Wade has turned it around and fans are taking notice

What in the hell are you talking about? They were there last night. In fact they were everywhere.

You have no clue what you are talking about. LSU basketball in the 80s was more than just the two Final Four years in 81 and 86. Heck, LSU went to the Elite 8 in 80 and 87 as well.

Today's kids need more than just a basketball game. It needs to be an event. There has to be some fun in it ala the Maryland flash mob or Wisconsin's Jump Around.

The current set up is horrible. I smell the magic touch of Joe Alleva. I can live with the SS being behind the goal -- but what is this media table/work station bullshite next to it? Horrible.

How about having students behind both goals, one section wears gold shirts, the other side wears purple? Alternating "go" "Tigers" chants could be effective.

I was in school when they moved it... The media section was allegedly to circumvent a rule about how far away the student section has to be from the opponent's bench, I agree it's a shite place for it

We have had a great coach for about 40% of one season. This doeang happen over night. A few rock solid years under wade’s belt will bring the deaf dome back. La loves a winner

Our crowd only cheers during timeouts and is led by a DJ. They have no clue what to do during the game. Normally, the cheerleaders or someone in the student section would get the chants started during the actual game and then the crowd would join in.
