People complaining "Its not how it used to be!!!
" need to realize that it comes with winning. Tiger Stadium is still an exciting as hell, loud, insane place to be at and is ONE of the best atmospheres out there PERIOD.

Get used to it. You'll be doing it too, moron.

I think we're on the same page on this.
Tradition is what distinguishes CFB as the greatest sport on earth. Once traditions have been removed, we're left with "B" grade NFL games. The SEC should recognize this and pro-actively structure its TV contracts, policies, etc to preserve and highlight SEC school traditions.
CBS/ESPN does not want to lose its SEC contracts. It would be negligible impact to them if more laititude was given to the schools regarding start times.

Thats what they do. I'm used to it. I just consider the source. You should do the same.

Tiger Stadium hasn't been the same since our NC in 2003.
I left LA after Katrina and only get back to one game a season, so others may have a different opinion, but everytime I walk in the stadium I feel the difference.

It's called winning. Like another poster said, we are expected to win now and we don't get as excited playing a 15 th ranked team.
If you want it back how it was, how about we go 3-9 for a few years. Then when number 20 Georgia comes to town we will be excited again.
Enjoy the golden years and STFU.

I'm sick of idiots in the student section that don't know you pop the firecracker on "Bombs Bursting", and not the "red glare." Idiots.
That grinds my gears.

Us OLD TIMERS are just as sick of you young-uns coming on here starting STUPID posts about players and coach's that you have no idea or real information about.....PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT....

Look around, guys. THESE are the 'glory days.' Right freakin' now! Enjoy.

Worst OP in history. The biggest whiners are new idiots like you. Go straight to your room, you are grounded.
Posted on 8/9/11 at 7:20 am to Huck Finn
yeah because it's only the student section that does that

oddly enough this is the glory years of LSU football. One day the OP will be older and talk about how good the teams from this era were. Enjoy the team we have right now. Sadly, even though this is the best on the field, the atmosphere isn't what it used to be. This is just how it is.

Tailgating is a separate deal from TS. IMNSHO Tailgating is way out of hand. I wouldn't mind seeing it scaled back.

Agree with this.

100% accurate statement there.
That's not going to change either because nobody at L.S.U. has the balls to even approach the S.E.C. about asking C.B.S. for some kind of TV contract waiver/exception/exemption that will allow us to keep at least one or two big conference game at night.
If everybody else's fans can get excited for a big time afternoon game, LSU fans should be able to. The whole night game belly-aching crap is ridiculous. 2003 afternoon game against Georgia was the greatest game I've ever attended in TS in my opinion. The crowd didnt seem to have any issues back then. The difference is the fans being hungry for a championship. The fault here is 100% on the fans, not the SEC or CBS.

More like TS hasn't been the same since 2007. There were a lot of loud & exciting games from 04-07 when we had a decent QB and offense. I think most of us can agree that the putrid offense under our current starting QB is the primary reason that TS has pretty much sucked for the most part since 07. Anytime you're ranked in the triple digits it's not going to be very much fun to watch. Just my .02.

Are you telling me to STFU??? I didn't day shite.
If you want me to I can say shite about the fans leaving before the game is even remotely over with to beat traffic or get out of the "cold"... Some fans these days are pussies and if you don't see that you need to STFU
