you think our offense is good? Consistently ranked 50 or lower? Get a clue my man.
I've read my response several times and fail to see where I said it was "good" (though the term is relative to the situation). In fact, I said we could use a new OC, but I'm not such a hater that I can't admit that our offense *improved* as the year went on...so I give credit where it's due. So your little strawman argument is just that.
As others have pointed out, our offense has indeed looked different under our various OCs and O struggles aren't just because Les makes us run the same shite all the time forever!, but who the frick cares about facts?
I give up. frick what actually happens on the field. Les Miles sucks, and our offense will always suck because he's always "meddling" in it (even when he, you know, *isn't*), lol.

the point was that we've had several OCs and the same mediocre to poor offense. What is the common factor between them all?

So you linked to this thread to prove that I'm a negative fan that continues to criticize the team and coach? You sir, are a fricking moron.

who says there's anything wrong with Mett? There's obviously a problem with execution all over the offense. An OC does more than just tell guys where to stand and where to run. I mean with Crowton and now with Stud we've had mediocre offenses and we didn't always light it up with Jimbo either (although it was better)... I just think its more than an OC problem

I never said we don't need a new offensive coordinator, but the suggestions I've been reading are either vague or completely preposterous.

the differences are quite noticeable.
Well, Mr. Walsh/Brown/Noll/Landry/Lombardi, the differences may be noticeable, but the results are not. The LSU offense is below average. Period, end of story.

Just what I thought, utterly worthless and combative because I stated that I had been resistant to be reactionary and negative about our offense but have finally come to the realization that we need a real OC. It's okay that you're so insecure that you can't handle this type of conversation. If it bothers you so much, just don't respond. As it stands, I asked you to provide some information based on my posting history, you responded like an immature child, and this is where we stand.

I don't know what type of offense we need, except we need one that scores more points. A lot of good offenses feature QBs that don't run. If this were a one year issue the. No biggy, but the offense has been bad for far too long and has cost us too many games. It's the sole reason why we are second fiddle in our division now.

So since you said this, I guess it has to be done. Will we be hearing the good news in the morning?

Because I offered my opinion and stated where I stand on a relevant subject?

Why?
All things considered, I think Stud did a pretty damn great job this year.

Yes, yes and yes again. It has been for many years and CLM is the one who is, at the end of the day, 100% responsible for it. But we are not supposed to say such things.

My only reason for REALLY preferring Stud stay is to keep continuity with Mett for next season

I agreed with this for most of the year. And I still think that there is a strong argument against what I stated in my original post. However, when we have the type of team that has played everyone closely regardless of the opponent, it doesn't give me a great deal of optimism moving forward. We are one of the most predictable offenses in the country and you just can't win every close game throughout the course of the year when you do that. I fear this will continue.

I think Stud, left alone to be the OC, would probably do a better job. Put Krags as the QB coach and hire Wilkerson as OL coach. But having co-OCs plus Miles might be screwing things up.

I think there's a really good chance we have a pretty dominant offense next season.
Mett finally came along in November (not perfect, but he looked like a guy the offense could rely on, not overcome).
We get more WR talent.
We (knock on wood) finally have a consistent OL with our best guy back (hopefully healthy).
Better receiving options at TE.
