Wait until we have 8-12 players opt out of the bowl game.

Win the SECCG and we are in the Sugar. Lose and it's probably Citrus.

I’m aware of that. Fact is, they could have locked it up already with a win last night.

I’m sure these guys will fight for 4 quarters against UGa. My only issue is, why couldn’t they do that last night?

Then give me the less meaningless one in NY6.

The Sugar Bowl is locked in to the highest ranked team not in the playoffs. Who wins the championship game is not the criteria. I heard the Sugar Bowl president give a speech a couple of weeks ago and that is the way he explained it.

Sugar takes highest ranked SEC team because Georgia in CFP. So Alabama goes to Sugar.

As fans, this board clearly overlooked aTm.

If we are not going to a NY6, the Citrus is the best bowl.

No. If we had won last night and lost next week, Bama would be ranked ahead of us and would have gone to Sugar unless they had somehow snuck into the CFP. Maybe we would have gone to the Orange as the highest-ranked team after UGA & Bama.

I am the complete opposite. All I care about is the SEC title now. I could care less what bowl they put us in

There was no energy on the field or on the sideline last night.. I don’t care what the circumstances are leading up to the game.. when those coaches and players walk out on that field with LSU on their chest, I expect not only energy, but the LSU swag that they seemed to have gotten back prior to Arkansas.

Brian Kelly has done a tremendous job so far. I am very impressed.. but the lack of energy through out the team (players and staff alike) last night was absolutely NOT LSU football.

Higher ranked teams get the NY6 bowls those are “better” more prestigious bowls in college football to people that matter. I couldn’t care less what attendance is or what avg fans think.

Only if the winner is in the playoff otherwise that’s the team that gets the Sugar

Coach looked like he could give a shite either.
We are lucky to have 9 wins considering how bad we started almost every game.

What makes you think the pre-season #6 team is pathetic? Granted their record is disappointing, but you mistakenly equate Ws & Ls as the only indicator of a teams talent and capability. Despite the record, aTm is a young team with a lot of talent that worked through a lot of injuries this year, which is more indicative of their record than being pathetic. On the flip side, LSU started this season as a team with talent, a lot of holes to fill, and a new system to implement. Fortunately, we hired a solid HC and the team performed beyond expectations of most; nonetheless, Saturday proved there are a few pieces still missing.

So the team that got they azz whooped by TAMU s going to walk into Atlanta and beat the #1 team in the nation?

UGA (like any other team) can be beat but there is NOTHING you saw from last night that supports this.

Is JD magically going to start throwing downfield? You don't think UGA is going to flood the short zone routes and get pressure with their front 4? Spy JD and sit on short routes, JD usually don't even take shots downfield. Our offense is incapable of stretching field.

I'm not even getting into how poorly our defense played. Special teams...we're the ONLY team in CFB that consistently allow punts to hit the ground and roll. We rarely even attempt to field the punt.

We are a wreck.

I followed that statement with this…

quote:

Obviously, fans are allowed to do that. Unfortunately, it looked like the players felt the same.

I was not trying to imply that the players overlooked aTm because of the fans. If they overlooked aggy, it’s their own damn fault.
