How good does our team have to perform for you not to be angry/frustrated with the staff? How many points/game? How many yards and TD's does JJ have to throw for?

Why LSU was 11-2 with Crowton and won 20 games over past 2 seasons with him..

.Idiots like beefense5 don't realize we did this with Crowton and in spite of miles and a subpar qb!!
It's obvious he know's NOTHING about football!!

Helll yes!

If I see that option play again, it'll be way too soon.

Good riddance!

I'm glad Crowton is gone too. By process of elimination, we should now clearly see who was responsible for the dismal state of the Offense. If we see more of the same in 2011 (which we will), then all eye on Les Miles.

True, all we can hope is that if it was Miles, he's learned from what went wrong.

Crowton was considered the #1 offensive coord. In the country, by some publications, following the nc. If Crowton would have had a good qb, he would have done fine. I agree he needed to go due to the circumstances of not having a qb who is capable of running the offense, but to say the Crowton is a bad cood. Is simply not true. Crowton's new team will have better offensive numbers than LSU next season. Guaranteed.

I hate to tell you this, but when you guys hired him. People at Oregon were cheering!!! We were getting ready to fire him. He was one of the worst OCs we've had in the last 20 years.

I couldn't beleive you guys hired him. Oh, and guess what, at Oregon one of the raps on the guy was he never had a QB capable of running the offense. Yet as soon as he leaves you'll have a excellent QB........ Why? because Crowton doesn't know how to coach QBs.

If it makes u feel better about our offense...unfortunately he had a meddler that will still be meddling with Krags offense :(

Ok your offensive coordinator just led one of the worst offenses in college football in 2009, and is now, for the 2nd year in a row, leading one of the worst offenses in college football with a passing attack that is dead last in the SEC. Now tell me, WOULDN'T YOU GET INVOLVED MORE???

I'm sick of people critizing Miles for getting involved with Crowton's offense. He had too, hell if you ask me, Miles didn't get involved enough.

What are the thoughts when/if LSU avgs 20 ppg and <300 ypg this year?

Do we still blame JJ or say its Miles the meddler?

I personally don't think this will happen and that a basic Off game plan, more exp O line(biggest key)and with the talent will generate 30 ppg this year. I don't think we'll be dropping 40+ on everyone but we shouldn't have the soiled bed sheets like the past 2 yrs.

My concern is installing a new "system." We should be ok by the end of the season, but at what cost.

Can we win with defense while the offense goes through the learning curve?

If Kragthorpe is competent and is able to scheme around his players (not vice versa) This will not happen.

I will bet you any money the offense under a 'learning curve' will be executing much better then we have the past 2 seasons under Crowton.

Crowton should have remained, he led LSU to 20 wins over past 2 seasons and a #8 ranking this year.

that's the point of transitioning, and in the case of the passing game, simplifying. It's not like we're going from pro-style to a triple-option attack. Terminology will be the much the same, as will the power running game. Get rid of Crowton's option-read passing game and the offense should perform better.
