Idiots on here, like you, were the only people even contemplating the idea that Paul Mainieri might not be at LSU for 2021

Skip had bad hips and retired at 63

Paul has a bad back and will be 63 after this season

There was close to a zero chance he was fired this year

An 0-3 SEC start after the thumping Ole Miss would have laid on them would get the buzzards circling.

And we’re not even the ones most effected. The players have literally bled for the chance to compete all offseason and all of their lives and it’s been ripped out from under without any clarification on how this effects eligibility. It’s bullshite. Play the game in an empty stadium if you feel the need but you have to play the fricking games.
It sucks, but life's tough.

Of course, I feel for the players the most. It sucks for them & I hope they are able to recoup some type of hardship waiver.

I’m as big of a fan as anyone. I love baseball. I run a long standing NCAA bracket challenge that people look forward to every year. I’m just saying, as I age, my priorities change and other things become more important. I’m not speaking for everyone obviously. But after a week or two you will learn how to fill your time. It will be ok. It’s not gone forever.,

in 2-3 weeks when the hysteria calms down and the cases are at a very manageable rate, everyone is going to be so fricking pissed we did away with all of these sports that could’ve otherwise picked right back up

bookmark this shite, i will bump it myself

I agree. Canceling something as far out as the college world series is insanity.

Agreed. Maybe a bit more than 2-3 weeks, but a shortened season would have definitely been doable

How did we survive all the other pandemics without shutting everything down? Ebola, Hong Kong Flu, Swine Flu etc etc. Everybody has bought into this ridiculous narrative that political hacks in the media have initiated.
