The ratings for the National Rematch were down. Ticket sales for the Rematch were subpar. The SEC refs antics during the season got too much attention.

And bama got their asses handed to them with an unbiased group of officials.

The playing field will be more even going forward.

It still benefited the SEC to have them in the game though, right? The only outcome worse than that one would have been Clemson playing Ohio State et al.

I hope you’re right, but why would they stop helping Bama? There is zero accountability.

Not gonna happen, too much money involved around the SEC for this to happen.

They already opened as the favorite for national champion next season

Yes. But several SEC teams could have been as, or more, competitive with Clemson Monday. The game (and bowl performance of other SEC contenders) demonstrated there is no need to prop bama up.

Of course bama is a preseason favorite.

But that doesn’t mean they should continue to receive favoritism.

I hope you're proven right, but I am pessimistic. Alabama still retains a lot of influence in the SEC and I don't see the officiating in favor of Bama in SEC games changing anytime soon.

Yep. But no group has been more keen on the problem of bama bias in the SEC than the Rant. Correct?

Are Sankey and Emmert stepping down? If not, the cheating will continue unabated

Nationally, yes. In Birmingham, heck no. They will have more resolve to harm LSU and help Bama. It’ll get worse believe me.

You may be right, but I sure hope not. Bama getting taken to the woodshed can only be seen as a positive.

Thats because you had two teams basically on the other side of the nation having to travel to the West Coast...The only way West Coast Stadiums will match what others make in the South East will be when a West Coast team makes it
