These Coach O fanboys will change their tune when they see what a dumpster fire this season will turn into. I support LSU but Coach O is an over paid gym teacher who has shown that he won't stop meddling where he shouldn't. Hopefully I am wrong but I doubt it.

Lacking blind faith in a guy's ability to lead a successful football program is not the same thing as cheering against him.

If we honestly believe we have the wrong guy for the job running the show, then it's deliberately naive to get all emotional and try to force ourselves to pretend otherwise.

All we can do is sincerely hope that we're wrong.

I was arguing the same thing earlier and some jackass started thread basically saying he's wanting LSU to lose. Of course, he got destroyed in the thread, but it certainly didn't help my argument.

That said, I still have a hard time believing that anyone is gonna sit there and be pissed off when LSU scores.

Agreed. We actually ran a nice offense in the mid to late 80s.

I'm sure there are a few "Never-Os" out there

I think a lot of that comes from a pretty natural place - the only thing some people hate more than being wrong is having to admit they were wrong.

Even for those without a big ego, that's a tough pill to swallow.

So if they've been on here for months shitting on O and he starts to perform, it becomes personal to them all of a sudden.

Hence the theatrics you mentioned.

And I've never understood people not wanting to admit they're wrong. Who cares? Everyone is wrong now and then. Of course, I guess if you're some condescending a-hole with your original position, then that's some tough crow to come back and eat in front of those that were correct.

And Miles NEVER did this?????? If you think he didn't you are a fool.................

Miles wasn't dumb enough to say it and put his insecurity out there for all to see, I know that much.

O has forfeited any benefit of the doubt for any struggles this season.

Eta: If we are going to be completely fair about the quote, Orgeron doesn't say that he's going to go in there with a solution and they're going to say "yes sir." He really just said that he can go in and say something needs to be fixed and IF he can stick to that, I really don't see that much of an issue.

There's still somewhat of a logical fallacy here, in that he thinks if he's going in that room, that his assessments of the situation are correct. Is he allowing for constructive pushback or are they simply going to change something because he told them it needs to be changed? His proponents can say "of course he's allowing them to coach" but he's saying that he's not.

I'm thinking there's a reason why he said what he said and I think that reason was that he tried this crap with Canada and Canada told him he doesn't know what the frick he's talking about and to get the hell out of the room.

This isn't very hard, so to continue to repeat this reeks of being intellectually dishonest at this point.

I mean, people on both ends of the political spectrum post here, and one couldn't exist philosophically if not for intellectual dishonesty, so to a degree that is to be expected here on occasion.

I took it as more of "Hey guys, this is a problem, how are we going to fix it" vs him going in with a solution or not allowing any pushback as you say. But, you may be right.

meh, there may be a few like this. But, personally, I'll happily eat crow on here publicly if we win the SEC. Or even the SEC West.

He’s not really going out on a limb with his post though. So he may be right with his 4th post. Except for the gym coach part. Orgeron is more than that. He’s a good recruiter and DLine coach.
He needs to stand on the sideline, turn off the headset and stay the hell out the offense. Or he can meddle in it and it’ll be a dumpster fire.

He didn't really say that though. He said when he goes in that room and says something needs to be fixed, that they're going to say "yes sir you're right." I know you're trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but that's what he said.

Like I said before, I think that comment was in direct response to what probably happened last year, which was Canada pushing back when he's trying to dictate strategy on offense. It's not a stretch considering how much he talked about the Canada situation that day.
