A lot of these teams are putting up 60+ points. You don’t take the rest of the night off at 24-0.

You can not turn on Aranda, yet notice that he did a poor job last night.

With just rushing 3 players give the other teams all day to pass! I hope that will change soon or we are going to get skull fricked by better teams!

Aranda isn’t infallible. He will call bad games or the other team will just have him some nights.

Didn’t OSU put up almost 60 on his Wisconsin defense one year? It happens.

Anyone “turning on” Aranda though is a goddamn moron. Reactionary people that shouldn’t be taken seriously.

I will.

Total Yards (LAT) 417 (LSU) 409

Any way you slice it, we were outgained by an inferior opponent. GA and Bama will rip us new ones.

He didn't. He just underestimated Techs passing game.

It’s weird how similar the Auburn and Tech games were for the defense.

It’s like the defense forgets how to play in the middle of games.

What is your definition of “turning on” Aranda. People are acting like he’s untouchable and immune to criticism when he messes up.

This team reminds me of a group project where one person's doing the lion's share of the work, the other two are just bullshitting and that guy doing all the work is still getting blamed when the project's not perfect.

I was talking about the offense, that did nothing until LT got it close.

Do people ever think that maybe the defense gets demoralized when the fricking offense does nothing for quarters at a time?

Perhaps the offense gets demoralized when the defense allows the La Tech offense to march 75 yards down the field touchdowns three times out of five possessions.

The LSU offense helped to put LSU up 24-0 in the second quarter. The defense proceeded to give up 3 td drives of 75, 75, and 71 yards. The second drive started following a 20 minute half time delay. You want to blame that on the offense as well?

3rd down conversions are inching towards the chavis zone.

Some of the reasons they moved the ball was because of so many backups playing in the secondary. Delpit and battle(although limited in abilities) are the guys who keeps that unit from missing assignments. That was obvious tonight, the backups at times were looking at each other like they didn't know what to do.
The only knock I have with aranda is, he doesn't commit enough guys to the blitz enough times within a game. He tries to get pressure with 4 rushers most of the time and bringing pressure from different spots.
That being said, he's phenomenal and think he's one of the best overall and may be the best at making quick in game adjustments.

I like Aranda but he isn't exempt from criticism... our defense has been inconsistent. We haven't had a solid stretch of dominating defense. We always have about 4 or 5 games a year where our defense dont play up to their potential.

This is the best case scenario for LSU. Statistically the defense is not all that great, but when needed they can be dominant. The defense is good enough to win every game, but Aranda will no longer be a big name in coaching searches because the defense is not getting a whole lot of hype.

Poor performance by CDA last night. All they did last night was throw it to 6. He should be able to call a defense to stop 1 player
