I almost started a thread to describe what I would miss in order to watch this game, but its just about anything and everything short of a BJ by jessica alba...but shoot, could you imagine both at the same time!

I've played with the idea myself, but could never bring myself to do it. I may need some meds though.
That's John Ed Bradley type self punishment.
However, I do know someone who not only refuses to attend ANY games against Bama, in Tiger Stadium or on the road, and I heard he already has it planned to be in a movie the night of Nov 5 for fear of damaging his house and/or having an aneurysm.
frick Bama. frick them in their cheating asses.

I'm thinking of TEVOing
Does anyone think Longhorn fans "BEVO" their games?
Did Florida fans (and now Broncos fans) TEBOW their games?
Do fans of a quirky Ohio band "DEVO" their concerts?
Does Boz Scaggs "LIDO" his programs?
(I'm here all week).

I understand how stressful watching a "big" game might be. Obviously, LSU fans want their team to win, myself included. A lot of importance is associated with "our" team. If our team wins, we feel happy. If our team loses, some of us get depressed for a day or so. The bigger stakes brings the most pressure.
There are 5.9 billion people in this world who could care less what 18 to 22 year old football players do. Only ESPN and CBS and the whole BCS system makes a playground game more important than life itself. And we as fans are sucked into win one for the gipper or my team is better than your team or that Miles > Saban or vice-versa. The fans are more hurt after a loss than the teams' coaches and players sometimes. Your self-esteem or value cannot be attributed to if LSU beats Bama or If Nick Saban is a better coach than coach Miles. Jealousy becomes prevasive and stress ensues.
Enjoy the game for what it is...a game. The only people that may lose their job over a loss is probably making millions of dollars a year and will never have to search for food or shelter or worry about a recession again.
Someone will win and someone will lose the game and life will go on. Being angry and stressful over a kid's game is taking life too seriously. If your life revolves 100 % of the time around LSU or Alabama sports, then you are not living a normal life. Their will be losses in your life but LSU losing a football game should not be one of them.

I learned my lesson a few years back when Warren Morris won the College World Series with his amazing home run. I left the TV when he came up to bat, sat on the swing on the front porch..and actually heard screams through out the neighborhood...rushed in but the deed was done..and I missed it!!! Won't happen no mo!

Alright ths is what you do. Place an enormous bet on the Tide, say $500. This is a hedge against the devastation of a Tiger loss. If Bama wins, the pain is eased by a nice return. If the Tigers win, It was worth the money an investment in a potential NC.

Whatever!!!! I'll have you know there are some women who not only enjoy football, but get this, actually know about the game. I grew up in a male dominated household & while I am ALL WOMAN, I'm proud to say my love of football comes from watching them play and enjoying watching games on tv together, so........take that!!!!I'm speaking for all the girls who geniunely love our football.

I used to be that way. Ultimately I caved and would watch. Worst case, stay a quarter behind on the dvr and watch the play by play carnage unfold here on the scoreboard.

I agree. You must also take a Lortab. An L 10 plus a little vodka will make the game much easier and, in fact, enjoyable. Don't believe the old wives' tale about liver damage. My liver functions just fine at 60%, thank you.
Oh, and I've done the leaving the room bit many times. In fact, last year it worked like a charm for the 'Bama game.
But, cereally, I've come to believe this is a once in a lifetime season for LSU. They will beat the Tide convincingly . . . maybe not a complete romp . . . but convincingly.
