WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE SHOOT THIS MOFO?

Ace,
The crowd will be rocking, no doubt. But I don't think you are giving our D credit. Look what we did to Ole Miss. Only 1 TD, and that was in garbage time. I see about 200-250 yds rushing and less in the air for you guys.

OP, just curious, not a flame, but weren't the Vols able to run the ball pretty well against your front 7? Or was it mostly Dobbs keeping the ball?

Billy,
You sure you want to shoot at me. I'm close with Aaron Hernandez, Chris Rainey and their crew.

i watched that game earlier this week. they held hurd in check and it was dobbs getting a lot of the yardage. harris is a good runner, but he isn't even close to dobbs as a runner. dude is a beast.

Keltic,
Good question. Most of their yards were from Their qb. About 80 of those yards were on a trick play, RB pass back to him.
We also missed tons of tackles that game, which we have cleaned up. Now tackling Fournette is a different challenge.

You said it yourself - you guys are built to stop the pass and may be vulnerable to the run.
Well - do we have a running game for you...and not just LF7 - (Guice is a slasher who looks NFL ready as a freshman, and Williams' nickname at the Midnight household is "More fricking Thunder" - that's an old joke from the recruiting season that year) - our OL can block for anyone.

We tend to do that by halftime, baw.

Ole Miss couldnt run their way out of a wet paper bag.
You guys are have a decent secondary.. I mean you are no DBU or anything.... but your strength on D is in stopping the pass.
But you have not faced an O line like ours or seen a running game like ours.
It will be a good game, but dont expect an Ole Miss repeat.

I wish it could be an ole miss part 2, but I know better.
I think you guys are going to win, but you should respect our D. Our d-line will probably be best you see all year. Unfortunately, we are very thin at lb. The ones that play are very good and play angry. Antonio Morrison would have been drafted if he didn't hurt himself in the Hefty "thanks muschamp" Garbage Bowl.
LSU will get theirs, no doubt. It won't be as easy as you are used to. (I hope)

The best we have seen this far absolutely. The best we will see all year? Not even close.

Another difference between the Gators and other tigerbait teams this season is we can put our dbs on an island to put more players in the box.
VHIII and tabor are perfectly capable to shut down WRs one on one.
Once again, 4-net is gonna run for quite a few, but it won't be Auburn part 2

That is funny. We are still trying to get rid of "Urban's Way" in Gainesville.

I wish "Urban's Way" we're a street that we could just rename. It's a philosophy where you recruit the "1% of the 1%", which are gun toating thugs (we had one guy use his teammate's dead girlfriend's credit card- WHO DOES THAT!?!?) and let them have preferential treatment over other players. Than when you have a down year, you just bail on the programto "recover" only to resurface shortly thereafter.
That's the Urban Way.

According to the rankings, this should be a close game. We lost our FB, UF lost a QB - I say that slightly favors us. Night game in TS worth about 6.
I say this is a 7 to 10 point game favoring LSU. Vegas has it 7.5 to 9 LSU fav.
However, if our D does not pick it up in this game
especially the DBs, this is a pick. They looked bad against SCar.

Our D isn't that good and BTW THANKS for the insightful reasoned touch. Needless to say that's fresh air on the Rant. No way you score only 6. Eastern Michigan and Syracuse and even SC scored much more. Ironically our YPG yield on Defense is really good but we're giving up points. Most of that I think is due to second half play with the lead defense and poor special teams. There's not a passionate Tigah around not worried about every kick and punt coming back all the way. If we solve that and keep you in bad field position, UF has no chance. If you get good field position, then you'll score enough and may beat us. Running mostly nickel doesn't kill your chance of stopping LF7. That's about getting to him before he gets going with more than one. Otherwise he runs crazy and you lose. Only one step worse than LF7 is Guice. I truly believe even with Chubb at full speed, he is the second best back in SEC. Your D will relax and if you get to the lead and force us to pass, then Guice running from shotgun will be hard to stop. The loss of our FB will most likely work in our favor as it will cause more 3WR sets and open up the field for Guice and LF7 as well. I dont see Treon as a drop off for UF. His running ability will be more difficult for us to contain. Expect a low score in this one... 16 - 13. 5 FGs. Winner is the one that kicks the third FG.

Good read tops. I didn't realize guice was that good. That's just scary for the SEC during the next two years.
As far as special team returns, we are just as bad returning as you are defending the return. Don't lose any sleep over the Gators return game. However, our punter has been very effective. He can flip the field because he gets distance and hood hang time.
I don't know what to make of Treon. He is a drop off from Grier, but how much of a drop off is unknown. I know his teammates love him, so they will rally behind him. I'm concerned becaus he has not played a meaningful snap since game 2, and he's going against LSU in tiger stadium AT NIGHT. Y'all get bat-smurf loud at night.
Maybe we can get to 17 pts, but I doubt it.
