Is someone at LSU trying to get him back?

I will no doubt be in the minority with this line of thinking, but if Ika was to return to LSU, that would totally neutralize Gilbert's decision to potentially transfer for me.

Absolutely not.

I want Ika back as much as the next guy but he’s not in the same stratosphere in talent, importance or optics as Gilbert.

Losing Gilbert, as talented as he is, is as much about optics of the program as anything

Downvote away but Gilbert’s actions say more about Gilbert than the program. Your remark is an insult to the players on this team that continue to go to practice every day and work through the adversity of an extremely difficult season. Those players understand what it means to be a teammate and put the team above yourself.

Thought the whole reason for him leaving was for a 3-4...... I mean, he was a starting DT

Probably an opinion by the all knowing, stated as fact.
Orgerons keeping the communication lines open with players opting, out could be very beneficial next season

Makes zero sense why he wasn’t playing more regardless of what scheme we were running. He was without a doubt our most disruptive defensive tackle.

Watch the miss st game, he can’t play more than 20 plays or so

Not an insult. He’s just a big dude meant to play situationally

Hey come back at 310, big guy, and wreck shop

Maybe O has learned his lesson and is bringing in a DC who will run the 3-4, or maybe he has been instructed to do so. Either way I hope Ika returns.

the 4-3 in and of itself isn’t the issue.
Clemson runs the 4-3 as a base and they do just fine.
hell, switching ain’t even the problem.

again Clemson went from 4-3 in ‘18 to 3-3-5 in ‘19 and now back to 4-3 this year.
all 3 years were very successful.

so the base formation ain’t the problem.

There’s nothing wrong with the 4-3 lol

LSU doesn’t have the dawgs to run either alignment

Imagine if you’re 3-4 and your LBs are

Ojulari
Clark
Baskerville
Cox

You’d have an aneurysm

If he's coming back here, he must know that Pelini will be replaced.

The 3-4 vs 4-3 debate has proven 97% of this board doesn’t know shite about football
