I remember a NC game in New Orleans where it appeared Alabama fans outnumbered us in our own state.
Attendance will be similar to last Saturday.

This pisses me off, especially since I sat next to a lot of UGA fans in the SECCG. Basically, I spent money/time to travel to SECCG/Peach and will miss out on CFP Champ tickets because people higher on the list "waited" for the title.

Anyone who diminishes an SEC title as a "meaningless game" is a short-time LSU fan. Plus, there are many who thought LSU would get bumped by 12-1 conf champ OU if they lost to UGA.

But, back to the SEC Championship. From another thread....


Some of y'all tend to think that an SEC title is not a big deal. You'd be wrong. Why it's a big deal for LSU:

1. It's a chance to win the best conference in the land and a tangible title that these players will claim for the rest of their lives. You don't control your destiny in the playoffs, though some of you think you do. What you always control to start the year is an SEC title. That is a major goal of this program. Probably the biggest goal that a team knows it has 100% control over.

2. It is a big deal in the SEC pecking order. Current # of SEC Titles:

Alabama 27 (2018)
Georgia 13 (2017)
Tennessee 13 (1998 lol)
LSU 12 (2019)
Florida 8 (2008)
Auburn 8 (2013)

I want LSU to overtake UGA/Tenn for 2nd all-time.

3. It has been a sign of long-term success. LSU has won at least one (1) SEC title in 7 of the last 9 decades going back to the 1930s.
