That's a pretty tough read. Can't imagine what his parents are going through, and I'm sure it's tough for Skylar to play without his lifelong friend out there with him.

Very touching article. Minus mentioning the "controversial" wiretap conspiracy

Difficult read, I can't imagine what his family and teammates are going through right now. I didn't think about all the little things that can trigger emotions from our players and coaches such as last years film or even a pregame song.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't realize they've left Wayde's locker untouched all season.

Damn, just, damn.
What a read. This team deserves every success it earns, and to enjoy it as best they can.

There are misanthropes everywhere. People who hate everybody and everything beyond themselves. Maybe they hate themselves the most, which is why they transfer that hate elsewhere. It’s the human condition.

Just looking at this from a basketball perspective It makes you realize why the team struggled a little early on. That had to be tough for them personally. They already had to push back the start of practice and there is no telling where their heads were when they did first start.

It makes me so mad that one worthless punk POS can forever alter a family like this. It’s infuriating.

Absolutely this right here.^^

This was my thinking as well. It makes complete sense when you understand the deep impact this tragedy had on the team and coaches.

Thanks for posting. My daughter and I got to sit next to Wayne and Wayde at an LSU football game a few years ago. I knew all about Wayne from his playing days at LSU, but Wayde was just a young teenager. Very polite young man and my daughter and I really enjoyed visiting during the game. This just breaks my heart for the family, the players who were so close to him. Just gotta pray my friends.
