re: If you have complete confidence in this team making it to Omaha, you’re lying to yourself.

I think they’ll make it to Omaha since they’re playing at home but it will be a quick exit. Like 2015 and 2013. They can’t hit on the road. That’s just a fact

Yes that team hit a bump, but top to bottom so much better than this team. This team is good, but very beatable.
There’s not a team in college baseball that holds a candle to LSU, Wake and UF from 23. The entire field is up and down and flawed. Has been all season.
The comparison is valid in that, we saw that 23 team raise its floor by fixing the pen and defensive issues, which were problems all season and resulted in multiple losses and a late season swoon, as soon as the Regional started. This team has the opportunity to do that.
There are no absolutely no guarantees this team does that at the plate, but we have absolutely seen improvement from the pen in recent weeks. If we get what we saw from Noot, Shores, and Mayers through the postseason to go with our starters, if we can just hit to season averages at the plate, we can make a run.
I personally think getting to Omaha is likely this team’s ceiling, but you never know how it goes once you get there with two elite starters.

I’ll just have to agree to disagree. I’ve just watched an entire season of where it was a lot of good but also a lot of bad.
LSU has done enough to put themselves in a spot to get to Omaha, but uncertain about their consistency in to bring it home.

I guess, but LSU is much better at home.

You're disagreeing with a fact?
Holy shite....
Facts say lsu is one of the best hitting teams in the sec.... not my opinion. This is almost 60 games worth of stats...not some skewed or subjective portion.

Then you didn't pay attention. Lsu is 4th in the sec in batting average and .04 from being outright 2nd. Your opinion doesn't outweigh facts.

It's baseball.... this can be said about every lsu team in history except maybe 2 or 3.
I saw the 98 yankees get shut down for a few games.

Christ dude you just aren’t getting it. Yes statistically lsu is very good and in the top of the SEC. Yes it’s based off a large sample size. However stats can be skewed for all sorts of reasons.
But looking average or bad in two games during a series at the plate and then having a big game makes stats misleading.

#1 team just got two hits off a third string pitcher. That is a problem

lol the 2 seed coming to BR will be pissing down their pant leg when they see they’re coming here
Posted on 5/24/25 at 4:45 pm to roscoe mike
Nobody thinks this is a Omaha lock team bro...But put your money on who is...Every team is a 50/50 shot.

Christ dude you just aren't getting it.... 60 game sample size isn't skewed by a game or 2. I'm sorry you're married to the opinion lsu isn't a good hitting team. Facts prove your opinion is shite. Deal with it.

I barely know baseball but I've read enough negatigers look stupid all season in 23 and this season that im not worried at all. Im just disappointed I don't have a game to watch tmrw on a 3 day weekend. Excited for the next game.

No one deserves to be that confident tbh. So you can say the same for everyone lol

Again you aren’t understanding and might have reading comprehension problems.
You keep saying a game or two.
I’m saying for just about every SEC series LSU has not been a consistently good hitting team. They just happened to have 1 game out of a 3 game series where they would hit really well that would make everything look copasetic.
Based off our back and forth and your blind faith in stats I can only assume you don’t even understand what the word copasetic means (see below).
I am not saying LSU is a bad hitting team, they just aren’t consistent. I think they are more than capable of making Omaha. Their Consistent play or lack thereof at the plate is what concerns me. Again key word is consistent not statistics.
I mean it’s not like they just hit under .200 in two games against backend pitching. Based off stats they shouldn’t have done that, right?
Edit: looks like you claim to be in physics. It makes sense now. You only understand things in black and white scenarios. You are forgiven for your lack of understanding.
